Too Faced Country Star La Creme Lipstick Review & Swatches

Too Faced Country Star La Creme

Too Faced Country Star La Creme Lipstick is a delightful new nude, natural shade of Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipstick that’s launched with the new Too Faced Smitten Kitten Fall 2014 Collection!

Let’s take a look!

Melissa Schleicher, country music’s go-to celebrity makeup artist to stars like Carrie Underwood, Loretta Lynn and Rascal Flatts helped created the new Too Faced Country Star La Creme Lipstick shade!

Far be it for me to rave a nude lip color (you know how I’m prone to zombie lips with them on) but Country Star is a delightful nude peachy pink that’s makes for a perfect natural lip look! The funny thing about the shade is you really can embrace your little bit country, little bit rock n roll side with this gorgeous shade as it’ll pair up wonderfully with the new Too Faced Rock n Roll Eyeshadow Palette! The shade allows you to go loud and proud with your smoky eye look and subtle and natural with your lips.

Too Faced Country Star La Creme Lipstick Swatches

I’ve been a long time fan of the Too Faced La Creme Lipstick formula since its launch in 2012.

It remains one of the best creme lipsticks I’ve had the pleasure of using thanks to the highly moisturizing formula, excellent pigment, and shiny finish.

The formula is quite moisturizing with a very smooth, even glide on lips that’s buttery and rich. It doesn’t tug during application the way some cream finish lipsticks do nor does it look patchy or even and it has the nice shine of a gloss to it as well which gives it a lovely hydrating and comfortable feel on lips through the four hour wear. It kinda has a lemon sugar taste and fragrance which I find very pleasant! I can sit for hours with this formula on and my lips always feel nicely hydrated through that time. The formula apparently includes peptides for smoothing and conditioning lips as well!

Country Star is fairly opaque on a single application and can be worn more intensely when built or sheerer for a more natural look!

This formula only keeps getting with each new shade release and Too Faced Country Star La Creme Lipstick is a must have color for your Fall looks!

I’ve been waiting to see blogger swatches of this color before buying and it looks so lovely! I’ve already placed my order, now I’m just waiting for it to arrive along with one of the La Creme Lip Balms!

This shade looks sooo pretty, and my knee jerk response is to buy it but I think I’ll try to resist this one. Only because I literally wore nothing but nude lipsticks for the last 20 years! I finally discovered how much more radiant I look in bright bold pinks and corals. There’s still that woman inside who gets a little giddy over nude lipsticks, but I tell her firmly that we are experimenting with other colors for the time being. I DO love en that the new fall collection is an named “smitten kitten” and will definitely be buying something from it!

This looks great! It looks super moisturizing! I hate dry lipsticks that tugs and accentuates dry lips. I also love how it’s not a nude zombie color! Very flattering on you!
