E.L.F. Snow White The Fairest of Them All Brush Collection Review

E.L.F. Cosmetics Disney Snow White Makeup Collection

E.L.F. Snow White The Fairest of Them All Brush Collection is a new, limited edition selection of makeup brushes that E.L.F. Cosmetics is launching with their new Disney Snow White Makeup Collection that’s available now at Walgreens.

Recently, E.L.F. thrilled Little Mermaid lovers with a collection featuring Ariel so it was a great surprise that soon after Ariel’s launch I ran across the E.L.F. Disney Snow White Collection!

Now I did review the E.L.F. Ariel Crystal Brush Set recently for you and was a bit disappointed and even though I was a bit burned by that set I did go ahead and indulge in the E.L.F. Snow White The Fairest of Them All Brush Collection anyway! I mean, it is Snow White? How could I resist right?

The E.L.F. Snow White The Fairest of Them All Brush Collection is $10 and comes with a blush, foundation, powder, and eyeshadow brush as well as a brush case to house the brushes.

I have to say this is more a collector’s piece if you love Snow White or just Disney in general. It’s not a practical set of brushes for makeup application. A younger girl would love this I’m sure. Personally, I have quite grown up so I thought it was really super cute. The handles, the art work, everything about it is quite adorable. Each brush handle is white and features a swirled heart design. The case for the brushes is a white and features Snow White on the cover.

Unfortunately this isn’t the best quality of brushes nor is the case particularly great. Don’t quote me but the case fills like they wrapped cardboard in silk material to create it. It’s very delicate. It actually has an pull to tighten rope which converts the case into a brush stand or you can use it to travel or store the brushes as well. I wouldn’t recommend using it as a brush stand though as you have to fold it down and I feel like given time it’ll snap or break down.

The brushes are from the E.L.F. Essentials Collection and I find them sadly lacking. As a fan of the E.L.F. Studio Brushes I’m always a little appalled at the quality of the Essentials Brushes they include in sets. These have splitting, scratchy, shedding bristles that you really won’t want to wash for fear they’ll break apart in your hands. They won’t prove fantastic for flawless makeup application either in my opinion.

In the end I think the E.L.F. Snow White The Fairest of Them All Brush Collection is darling! However, it’s not a selection of brushes you’ll want to use daily. If you do pick it up I imagine it’ll merely sit in your beauty vault versus daily use as the brushes aren’t all that fabulous unfortunately.

I’m actually kinda sad! I wish E.L.F. would produce a set like this with the standards and quality of the Studio Brush Collection!

If you like the set it’s popping up now at Walgreens and will likely appear at drugstore.com as well shortly since the Ariel Collection was available there!

I purchased this item.

Awww..I really wanted to pick this up. I agree with you about why they won’t make brushes with better quality. 🙁

I don’t get it because we KNOW they can make brushes with better quality!

Gah I know, I don’t know why they keep making these brush sets with the brush quality of the dollar line brushes. I don’t mind the eyeshadow one, but all the others are too scratchy for me. I love their studio line though, they really need to make a Disney set like those!

Snow White was my favorite Disney princess when I was very little and black hair was the closest it seemed we were going to get to an Asian princess. The packaging is not even worth collecting for me. I don’t know why Disney doesn’t go all out and do a high quality makeup/tool collection with fabulous packaging. They could totally do it if they wanted to. The Maleficent collection was weak.
