It Cosmetics Cream Compact

The new It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Compact makes its debut today in the It Cosmetics New Year Your Most Beautiful Skin QVC Today’s Special Value Set! The It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Compact is actually a newly packaged version if CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream but instead of a tube you’ll be getting a new travel friendly compact that you can take with you for touch ups on the go.

Take a look!

One of the main differences in the new It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Compact versus the It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage CC Cream is obviously the packaging. Instead of a tube you’ll be getting a chunky compact with a sponge for applicator. The formula remains the same, it’s the packaging that differs here. This is a press to release compact so it isn’t a cushion makeup, it simple has a small button which you push to release a little bit of the foundation which flows from a spout located in the center of the compact. This packaging makes it the CC Cream portable and travel friendly should you wish to touch up on the go. It is smaller at 0.47 oz than the original tube which is 1.08 oz in size.

It does make a debut in the new QVC Today’s Special Value set which includes 5 full size It Cosmetics products for $59.95 so you’re paying around $12 for the compact. At some point I’m sure that It Cosmetics will likely make it available as an individual purchase but as of now there isn’t a price for it and no way you can purchase it outside the set. One hopes that once they release it individually that it the price will reflect the smaller size.

I’m a fan of the tube version of this so I’m quite happy with the new packaging. It Cosmetics has not mentioned discontinuing the tube version so no worries. This is the same great formula as the original with an SPF 50.

I’ve always felt the formula was great for dry or aging skin as it feels extra moisturizing. It’s creamy yet it sets to a smooth, soft finish that isn’t dewy, shiny, or greasy. It does have a subtle citrus fragrance that deserves mentioning if you’re sensitive to fragrance in your facial products.

It’s pigmented and has a very natural look with plenty of coverage for to conceal redness, blemishes, dark spots, etc…It’s the type of product that wears well sheer or built up so you never have to worry about it look mask-like or unnatural no matter how much you apply. The formula is emollient but the formula is thick so it can drag a little during application so prep well prior to applying. I feel the coverage is that of a BB Cream versus a CC Cream as it is quite pigmented. It wears well on my skin for a solid six hours without fading. It eases dullness, brightens, and creates a beautiful canvas for makeup!

It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Compact is an interesting take on an old favorite. Some might hate the smaller size but I personally appreciate the newer packaging which makes it easier to travel with! Unfortunately the compact is not refillable so there is that! If you loved the original there isn’t anything different here aside from the packaging so you’re sure to love this version just as much!

It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Compact makes it’s debut today on QVC.com in the New Year Your Most Beautiful Skin 5 Piece Collection.

Why oh WHY can’t It get away from using the citrus extracts in their formulas???

I don’t mind the smell, but its the fact that I spend soo much time & money on good skincare I don’t want to have it all undone with citrus extracts that can cause lots of cell damage. (I mean, I prob spend 3% of what Ms. Muse spends, but still 🙂

The worst part is that you don’t have to have sensitive skin to be affected, those with sensitive skin just get a warning sign. The rest of us are totally blind to the damage until all our collagen falls out 10 yrs later!

Did you find that the foundation applied unevenly? I used the brush in the kit but still find some areas are splotchy. I did use a Serum and moisturizer beforehand even though it is supposed to double as those items. I also going the medium to be a little Orange.

I had to exchange my color from fair to light. my skin is somewhere in between.

Michele I am finding what you did. it’s not covering and shows up everything. You are supposed to be able to use this as a moisturizer but it isn’t doing that to me.

i’ll try again with a primer too and report back. it’s really very disappointing. of al the products the only one i like is the lipstick.

it’s really too bad. I keep think i’m doing it wrong but 4 pumps on the compact and still i’m not covered. i don’t understand how this product covered Jamie’s skin. it smells weird.

i’m afraid i may go back to almay cc cream. it’s more moisturizing and has a more even coverage. i was looking for a deeper coverage. anyone else have these issues?
