Doll10 CC Powder2

It’s such a rarity that I actually like and use face powder but Doll 10 CC Powder ($30) definitely is the exception to that rule. Doll10 CC Powder is a lightweight face powder that evens out skin tone while brightening your complexion.

Take a look!

Doll 10 CC Powder

Doll 10 (originally known as Dalton Cosmetics) is a line I’ve been wanting to try for a while so I was very happy to finally get my chance to try out the brand. The CC Powder was a great place to start because I really love this! This comes housed in an elegant cream and black compact. The powder inside is a flattering shade of beige that’s dotted with pigments of lavender (to brighten), green (to counteract redness), and peach (adds warmth). This shade should suit light, light medium, and medium skin tones.

This is a silky fine powder with a lightweight texture that provides a smooth, even appearance on my drier skin. So why do I like it? Well, I have issues with powders clinging to my drier areas and dulling out my already dull skin. Dry skin and powder it isn’t a match made in heaven! I typically look for finer, looser powders which I can buff into my skin without having them accentuate my drier areas. This formula is very, very light plus it has the ability to brighten up my complexion which for my duller skin is a complete plus. The texture is soft, easy too apply, and provides a smooth airbrushed finish. I typically apply a tinted moisturize and set it with a dusting of this! It provides a nice semi-matte finish that doesn’t make my skin look drier! It isn’t terribly pigmented but there is enough pigment here to even out and brighten up my skin tone. I’d say it controls oil and shine subtly but if you have super oily skin you might need a little extra helping hand. This wears for a solid six hours on my skin without fading. I actually really like it as a setting powder for tinted moisturizer but it also works quite lovely as a lightweight foundation and considering the warmer weather is a coming (although a bit slowly in New York) it’s the perfect way to brighten up my complexion without the addition of heavier BB Cream or foundation!

Doll 10 CC Powder is a delightful face powder pick! It’s perfect for those who want a powder that multitasks as both a setting and foundation powder and ideal those with duller, drier skin who want to brighten up their skin without adding further dryness or dullness!

i was so excited to see you review doll10! I LOVE this brand- such high quality stuff. This powder is amazing- I actually had it and USED IT ALL UP!!!! I like that it did control my shine and helped even out my skin tone. I want to rebuy it soon for sure. QVC really needs to give us a doll10 tsv.

    • Isabella Muse

you were the one that made me want to try it!!!!!!!! 😀

      • diane

I was?! Aaww thank you 😀 Hehehe after all the stuff you make me want to try that is awesome <3 <3 If you haven't tried her conceal it concealer, add that to your "try soon" list ASAP!

        • Isabella Muse

stop! ;-D I want to try the hydra drops and concealer because of you! 😀

I too have been curious about this line but have never seen any reviews on this line. I really like the sleek, simple somewhat retro looking compact. I have a ton of powder products from MAC & It Cosmetics but I am going to add this one to my shopping wish List.

I’ve been eyeing Doll 10 but not sure where to start. As I get older, my face gets drier and powder is not my friend but I need it to set my foundation, so I sympathize with you. Currently, I’m using the Hourglass Ambient powder as a setting powder, and I like it, but of course, it costs an arms and leg and I don’t want to travel with it (for fear of losing or dropping it), so nice there’s a cheaper option to look into

I hear you Katherine! I’ve always been dry but the older I get the drier I seem to get 🙂

I have been using Doll10 cream highlighter that came in one of my ipsy bags and I really like it. Not too shimmery and applies very nicely. Thanks for the review!

    • Isabella Muse

my pleasure lisette will have to check out the highlighter! 😀

This reminds me of Ready to Wear “Couture Face Powder”………..it looks similar as it has the different correcting colors in it too. Doll 10 has a very nice line of beauty products. I love her Concealer “Conceal it” in the compact. Have a beautiful day. Don’t forget to “SMILE” and make someone feel good. 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

haha but of course 😀 I really have to try their concealer! hearing great things!

      • Pam

That was a reply to DiEtta about it looking like RTW Couture Face Powder.

  • Pam

It looks like a lovely powder and I like the packaging. I’ve been curious about Doll10 too, and didn’t know it was formerly Dalton Cosmetics – which always had great products. Do you know if it’s talc based? Unfortunately talc powders seem to cause breakouts on me, so I try not to use them if I can.

    • Isabella Muse

oo not sure Pam! Don’t have a box for it unfortunately and a quick google not seeing ingredients. I’ll email the company and see what they say 🙂
