The Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Satin Kiss Lipstick are a new limited edition collection of lipsticks that Ciate London collaborated on with American socialite, Olivia Palermo. Ciate’s Makeup Collection just launched recently and is still very much in its infancy stages but honestly, that hasn’t stopped the brand from introducing a steam of brand new products each season.

For Fall 2015, they teamed up with Olivia to create a gorgeous selection of warm, natural, nude shades for eyes and lips that was highly flattering for the season.

One of the things that jumped up at me when I originally saw the promotional images for the Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Makeup Collection was the gorgeous nude lip that Olivia was sporting. I think her whole makeup looking was very appealing to me as she had a warm, natural sultry eye with a pop of color on her cheeks and a delicate nude lip that brought it all together. Upon seeing those images I was instantly excited about seeing the lipsticks in person for myself. I feel like I don’t have enough great nude lipstick shades and when I do for ones I love I tend to hoard them away.

Why you might ask? Well, I just feel like a nude lip can prove difficult to pull off and finding that perfect shade to achieve the looks can sometimes prove difficult.

The Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Satin Kiss Lipstick brings together four gorgeous shades, three of which are incredibly pretty nudes.

Let’s take a look!

Olivia Palermo x Ciate London Satin Kiss Lipsticks

These are not only positively dreamy shades but they formula is outstanding as well!

First off and almost an important point for me is the packaging. These come housed in a textured black box with gold font. The box feels very Gucci to me with a prestigious, luxury look that we haven’t really seen from Ciate’s Makeup Collection before as many of their offerings have more of a cute vibe. The actually lipsticks come housed in a pure gold barrel with Ciate’s cute ribbon decorating the top. The lipsticks are embossed with the Ciate ribbon at the front and the back displays Olivia’s initials.

The formula is a super creamy, thick texture lipstick with an easy, smooth glide on lips that sets to a soft, creamy satin finish. I detected no fragrance or flavor in this formula for sensitive users. Although thicker and very creamy this formula has a nice weightless feel and gave lips a little light moisture through the five hour wear. They are formulated with hyaluronic acid so lips appear plumper, fuller, while retaining moisture. Color pay off is excellent on both shades I tried with a full opaque finish on a single application.

I loved the shades. I tried Praline which is a dusky nud-ish pink and Truffle which which is a softer pinky nude. Both these shades go excellent with brown smoky eyes or nude, natural eyes with a winged liner!

These are a lipstick that deliver the whole package with gorgeous packaging, excellent wear, and an incredible formula!

Loves these!

Both shades look great on you! Nudes are hard to wear, but these look like they might work for me.

Oh. My. God. Those are stunning !!! Those colors scream ‘sophistication’ which is my favourite make-up look. The colors look so great on you ! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

right? Aren’t they fab nudes? 🙂 Thank you! xoxo! My pleasure always fun to share with you guys!

These colors are my kind of shades. what brand is the texture similar too? I like lipstick to be nice and moisturizing and never dry my lips out. I am not a gloss person so the lipstick needs to maintain its moisture.

    • Maggie

Maybelline Color Sensation lipsticks are a really similar texture and there are a huge collection of shades.
I love Warm Me Up, it’s a brown-based pink and it’s one of the few nude shades I own that doesn’t wash me out.

I just ordered praline. I got the eyeshadow and blush bronzer duo last week and they are absolutely lovely, beautiful packaging and very pigmented. I love them so much that after I saw the colors on you I had to order at least 1. I wanted truffle too, but figured I would start with one and see, praline looks so pretty, great for fall.

    thanks for the review. 🙂

They are really lovely duos! Love the packaging 😀 Aw my pleasure! Let me know what you think when it arrives!

I picked up Truffle last week because of that promo pic that you talk about in your post. Great minds!
I feel like I don’t need a liner with it at all and it’s one of the most flattering “paler” nudes I’ve tried for my fair skin. I’ve had bad luck with nudes and I love this one (wearing it right now.)
You make me want to grab Praline now too! These are $25 but seem like the quality of other $32+ high end brands.

    • Isabella Muse

HAHA! you too? Wasn’t that picture amazing? I can’t replicate it for my life but I wish I could 😀 I’m the same. Most nudes don’t look good on me and I’ve had really awful luck with them but this shade is so wearable! I agree, the formula, the packaging, etc feels very high end. Count me impressed!

Wow, Praline looks gorgeous! Most nudes make me look dead, but it looks like the perfect MLBB color. Also like the elegant touches. Why LE?
