Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipgloss 1

My prince has come! Well, kind of! Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipgloss ($25) doesn’t exactly turn into a prince when it hits your lips but it does turn into a rather gorgeous shade of dark, sparkly berry!

It’s not Fall yet but I’m dreaming of all the ways I’m going to incorporate Frog Prince Lipgloss into my Fall looks!

Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipgloss is a new color changing gloss formula that joins Lipstick Queen’s Frog Prince Collection that also includes a lipstick and a blush.

Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipgloss

Frog Prince Lipgloss comes housed in a flat lipgloss barrel that holds 0.2 oz of gloss and resembles Hourglass Cosmetics lipgloss packaging but is a little thicker in size.

In the barrel, it’s a gorgeous sparkly shade of emerald that might intimidate you but fear not this gorgeous green transforms upon contact with lips. It’s a pH-reacting, color changing formula that’s suppose to create a rosebud shade on lips but almost everyone I know who has tried it gets a deeper berry from it! Which is great considering how many pH lipglosses I already have that turn into bubblegum, Barbie shades of pink! This is a refreshing change. It actually takes a minute to transform as once applied you’ll have a layer of sheer green, sparkly gloss on your lips. As it warms up it’ll begin to color shift into a gorgeous, dark berry.

The formula is thin and loaded with blue-ish green micro-shimmer. The shimmer is actually really low key on my lips and much, much more prominent on the initial application but disappears considerably as the color shifts. The gloss is very comfortable to wear without being sticky or tacky and has a lovely moisturizing feel courtesy shea butter and hyaluronic acid. It has a high shine finish that fades within two hours of the four hour wear time.

As I mentioned above, this shade is rather refreshing. It’s a lot more deeper and richer than other pH lipglosses out there and reminds me of a Clinique Black Honey-like shade. I don’t think everyone can pull off your typical popping pink gloss, Frog Prince Lipgloss is much, much more wearable especially for those with medium or darker skin types!

Question, is would I rather have the prince or the gorgeous berry lipgloss?

I’ll go with the lipgloss ;-D

I’ve got both this one and Hello Sailor, and I love them both! Frog Prince actually turns into a really nice berry-pink (more pink than berry, but not bubblegum pink) on me, and works really well with my very fair skin.

It looks gorgeous! Just bought the lipstick version, love how it transforms color as well, nothing too bright and it lasts the whole day! Since I had a very good experience with this, ended up ordering the givenchy black magic lipstick!

I wanted to try that Givenchy one but my local stores do not sell Givenchy. Is the Givenchy lipstick worth the $$$, Jen?
