new foundation fall 2016

I rounded up 10 new foundations for Fall 2016 that you might want to check out. I have admit I’m a concealer girl myself! I’m always looking for the next best concealer formula. I’m come to a point in my life where I’ve found formulas that I would dub holy grail status yet I still continue to hunt. Is there such a thing as a makeup therapist? I might need one to chat over why I have such commitment issues with my concealer. I love it, I use it daily, I think it performs incredibly, so, why can’t I commit to it?

But this post isn’t about my concealer commitment issues it’s about new foundations for Fall 2016. From cushions to liquids and even powders, there’s a little something for every foundation user in this pot.

Has Kat Von D’s foundation been reformulated? She has been saying in IG posts and YT videos that the formula is unchanged, just the packaging. Is this true or not?

    • Isabella Muse

I’ve heard on several different occasions it’s been repackaged and reformulated. I’m going to contact the brand directly see what I can find out 🙂

I’m going to check out the new Guerlain because the original is HG for me.

  • Jennifer

I am really trying hard to love the Kat Von D. line at this time. I am almost certain it has been reformulated, and not for the better. Why, oh why, can’t they leave well enough alone? The new concealer is next to impossible to blend. My go to Lovecraft lipstick is not the same either. It’s very drying. I’m having to put gloss over the lipstick just to make my lips comfortable. WTH?

Isabella have you found your HG concealer? I know this post isn’t about that but I’m, ahem, a bit older than you & still haven’t found a concealer, corrector or combination of products that works & as you age it becomes more difficult due to settling into fine lines, etc. My daughter had recently sent me a video featuring a young woman saying she elimated her dark circles & it was life changing. You wouldn’t believe the tons of comments & questions she got! To me it was one of those “They can send a man to the moon, but they can’t. ..” Why is it so difficult for cosmetic companies to make a product that actually does cover dark circles & blue veins like mine like they claim it does?! Am I just a hopeless case? Bad at application?!
Anyway, turns out she was British & she used a Rimmel London product only available in the UK. Are you familiar with this video?
Back to the original subject of foundations, the new Bare Minerals foundation is causing quite the uproar in the old loyalists forums because it’s contains talc, something Leslie Blogett boasted her original loose foundation did not contain. Talc is getting some pretty bad press these days with the Johnson & Johnson lawsuits. Just saying.

I loooove the new Bare Minerals Bare Pro Foundation. It has buildable coverage and it looks great all day…I have never tried anything from Kat Von D, but her foundation and concealer has me wondering…I am still looking for a great concealer that will truly cover my age spots and hyperpigmentation. 🙂

I love the new Bare Minerals powder foundation!!! I’m eager to check out the Chanel one

I’m curious about the new Chanel foundation. I only just started using Chanel perfection lumiere foundation and quite like it but I’m afraid it’s going to be discontinued in favour of this new one. It has exact same bottle and packaging as the new one. Do you have any more information on this new Chanel foundation? Is it going to replace perfection lumiere?

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not sure if they’ll be axing or replacing the old version sadly! If I hear anything I’ll let ya know!

  • Renee

I loved that Teint Idole foundation. Nice coverage, great color match, just a hint of glow, perfect except for the extremely strong scent. The strongest of any of Lancome’s products. Made me very sad.

  • genevieve

I love the HE foundations, but I can’t commit to any of them – simply because too many times in the past I have been given the wrong shade and I have ended up tossing it out – and they are too expensive for that. However I am looking into the Stila All Day Foundation and it looks great on the MUA in Mecca Cosmetics.

I really like the Lancome Tient Idole cushion but the shade range leaves so much to be desired. They don’t cover olives at all so while I have the paleness handled, I really end up just looking super pink.
