When I was little we always had a chocolate filled advent calendar to count the days down to Christmas. Each day after school I was allowed to pop open a single door to reveal the tasty treat beneath. Typically the chocolates were shaped like stars and reindeer but the most exciting chocolate was the one that laid beneath the 25th which was bigger than the others and shaped like Santa! When I think back on it those chocolates were horrible! Haha…! They really weren’t terribly tasty but when you’re a child of five or six that morsel of chocolate was like a feast for the gods.

As I got older advent calendars evolved! I remember we had a wooden one that popped open to reveal not chocolate but a small little ornament inside. And of course, we had ones that featured a tiny illustration under each pop out.

So, taking a break from the holiday and makeup beauty advent calendars you might want to explore this darling Quill & Fox Advent Calendar!

I purchased my first box of greeting cards from Quill & Fox on Etsy and now they are sold on Anthropologie! I love how Anthropologie is such a showcase for some of my favorite brands like this one and French Girl Organics Skincare!

Quill & Fox’s whimsical designs are featured on this pretty little advent calendars. Theres no chocolate to be had here, no special treat behind each cut out but you do get to enjoy the whimsical hand painted illustrations that mark down the days until Christmas!

Not to mention you can reuse it again and again and again!

For those that love a good Etsy Disovery this unique Quill & Fox Advent Calendar is for you!

Available now at antropologie.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I was just thinking how much fun those advent calendars were to get and use but how bad the chocolate was! But still couldn’t wait to get them each year.

Hi! Bought the L’Occitane advent calendar after reading your post! Can’t wait to start popping open those doors! Funny thing — hubby asked — Is that ALL chocolate? When I said no, skin care items, he was so disappointed — funnier thing — he doesn’t like chocolate!!
    Love your posts girl!

Aw we had a few picture ones when I was growing up! I liked them to be honest, there was just something cute about opening the doors and seeing the “surprise” underneath!

I got a paper one with stickers for each day from Hallmark last year but I think I’m going to check this one out since it is re-usable.

I have been looking for this house advent calendar for a couple of years with no luck. Do you know anyone that would be willing to sell me this advent calendar? I’d love to have it. I am an interior designer, and it’s so perfect for you my home. Thanks for showing it. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks again.
