Oooh! Gorgeous! Not crazy about the brushes, but the highlighter and #eyeshadow are beautiful

  • Maria

Muse the eyeshadow palette has my name in it. Love the shades. Do you plan on getting it also?

  • Heather

    What. Even.

Get out. This isn’t Tarte! Tarte makes browns! (And when it’s feeling daring, plums.) 😉 (Just teasing. I’m happy to see them listening to their customers!)

If the texture of those shimmer shadows is anything like the ones in their Rainforest Vol 1, I will be a very happy camper.

  • Christian

I am so excited that Tarte has finally discovered color! I can’t wait for the reviews on those palettes!

    • amy

Uuummm… tarte has been doing “color” from the very beginning. I still have some palettes from the days of the magnetic 10-pans, and there are some very bright shades in those…

  • Leticia

Hmm, I liked the brushes better when Tarte gave a sneak peak of them, back in September, when the handles were more of a white iridescent. I wonder if they changed them after people started accusing Tarte for “copying” another company who makes similar looking makeup brushes.

    • Isa

I saw them with white iridescent handles too, and I also preferred that design. Those gave me more of a magical unicorn vibe, which is what I’m assuming they are going for.

  • Agona

OMG this is the first spring collection I’ve seen that has me drooling. What up jewel colors instead of pastels!!

…and from tarte?! Whaaaaaaaat. Hopefully the formula be similar to the Rainforest of the Sea palettes!!

    • Agona

Whoops I guess this is technically a summer collection. Even better. I usually sit out summer collections because they’re all bronzers and barely any eye makeup.

  • zVintageFashionizta

The collection is sooooo pretty! I don’t use highlighters or shimmery eye shadow so I’m skipping those palettes but hopefully I will get the brushes.

  • Ana

Hi! Do you know if these are gonna be available at Sephora too? Thanks and I live your blog!

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not sure about dates or availability at Sephora but will update when I get more details 🙂 thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Shamim de Varax

darn it, I DO NOT NEED anymore makeup and brushes……..

    *grabby hands*

  • Isa

Whoa, Tarte does colour?! Well ok, there are still a lot of brown tones in that palette, but it’s a great development!

I’m such a sucker for cute/kitschy packaging that I want the brush set even though there are 2 brushes I probably won’t get much use out of. 🙁

  • Amber

I absolutely love all of this collection! Love color! Tarte has been on kind of a neutral thing for awhile so I’m happy to see so much color! I am going to be broke again lol! But very happy

  • Amy

The shadows are gorgeous! I already have several palettes on my radar right now. This is going to make choosing so difficult. (NARS Loaded and Too Faced Natural Love) I am looking forward to your review.

  • Emily Hertler

Will eagerly await reviews. That’s the most exciting looking eye palette I’ve seen in a while. If the quality is there, it will be mine.

  • Debbie L

Oh that eyeshadow palette is tempting, and just when I’m searching to add some colour to my normally nude/neutral routine. I was looking at the Smashbox Cover Shot palette in Bold though. I’d probably won’t know what to do with a rainbow highlighter for all the fuss about them. Pretty, yes… but is it practical?

  • Serena Kay

I’m supposed to be on a no buy for 2017. Are these limited? If so, how long might they be around?

    • Isabella Muse

They are limited edition, stated that in the post 🙂 I don’t have a time frame unfortunately. Sometimes things sell out fast, sometimes they stick around for a while! I’m not really sure, sorry :-/

  • Susan

Although I don’t plan to get it (not enough mattes, which I prefer) I think the eyeshadow palette is gorgeous and a very welcome departure from Tarte’s usual 50 Shades of Brown. Now that I think about it, Tarte has come out with more colors in the last 6 months or so and I say HOORAY for that! 😀

  • Brenda

I want it all!!!! Just when you think you are set for summer, this appears!!! Eye colors are da bomb!

  • jean

I have to have these! I don’t normally buy brush sets but I think I might get those just because. Beautiful eyeshadow colors. I love that even though they’re not the usual brown, they’re earthy. I don’t think I can use those purple highlighters but of course I’m getting the palette anyway.

  • Sara

I can’t wait to read your review on the eyeshadow palette. I use both Rainforest of the Sea palettes on a regular basis (and considering how many palettes I own total, that’s saying something!). These look similar and I’m crossing my fingers the quality and texture is the same! I’m on a No Buy Makeup March… altho I have a Sephora giftcard so that wouldn’t count right since I’m not spending real money??? Hehe…

  • genevieve

Love the shades in that palette – it’s the nicest one I have seen from any spring collection.

  • Terri

Upon first glance, the round eye and cheek palette looked like little coffins!!! LOL

  • sleepybird

I really like the palettes. These are the first “unicorn” palettes I have seen that have colors that look sophisticated rather than juvenile. Gorgeous colors!

  • Carol G

I guess it’s gone already? When you go on their website it isn’t listed ( in fact, none of these products are). So either everything is sold out already or it hasn’t launched yet. This is Wed, 3/15 at 8:08 am EST.

    • Isabella Muse

It don’t it launched yet. they didn’t give time but typically new releases pop up at 9AM or 12PM for Tarte.

      • Carol G

Thanks! I just assumed it would have been midnight. Nice to see they do it during the day instead of the middle of the night!

        • Isabella Muse

I’ve never seen them do a midnight release, don’t quote me on that but typically they do day releases 🙂 TF and Sephora typically reply on that stupid midnight release thing blah!

  • Tabitha

Feels like they’re a little late to the party. I’ve already lost faith in their entire line, not to be a Debbie Downer but… they’ve gotten more of my $ than I should have spent. I know Urban Decay is hit or miss with their palettes as of late but holy wow the AfterDark palette is one that I love love love & I’ve got all the color I need in that. Maybe…~just maybe~ if Tartes Rainforest of the Sea volume 2 would have been as good a formula as volume 1 I might be more excited for this. But no, too many other greatly pigmented alternative options out there. Honestly I’d take a chance on Wet & Wild before I went back to hoping for a good Tarte product. I like the colorful brush bristles though but I’m waiting for the rose shaped brushes from Storybook Cosmetics to buy some fun novelty brushes. Wayne Goss gives me all that I need & its only the little girl in me that wants the Storybook ones~~~Harry Potter wand brushes someday you will be mine!

    • Isabella Muse

I love my Harry Potter brushes but they aren’t exactly practical for daily use sadly 🙁

  • Tabitha

And has anyone seen the new Mermaid Carve and Contour brush that just came out from an Australian company? Sorry Tarte, your spiral golden brush handles just do not rock hard enough!

  • Tammy

Ok, it’s 1pm now and still no palette release! I’m a night shift worker and have to go to bed. I really wanted to order a palette first!!

  • NutellaNoella

I just watched the snap chat story and they said the launch is @ 5 pm EST ^_^

      • NutellaNoella

No problem! By the way, I’ve been a long time lurker and finally just now managed to work up the courage to comment. Thank you for all your awesome reviews and insights. You’ve been spot on all this time!

        • Isabella Muse

thank you again and yay thanks for coming out to comment today 😀 It’s nice to meet you! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww flattered to hear that, really flattered! Thank you xoxoxox!

  • Jenny

I’m SO happy that Tarte is doing color but why the heck didn’t they include a few matte shades in that palette? It’s not very practical and I’m going to have to dip into other palettes to create any kind of look with this. Sigh…

  • Ana

Hi! I’m here to save you! Hehe. The collection is gonna be released” by 5pm est.
Also, the brushes (I was really excited about these) don’t look that great, maybe is just me but the foundation one seems too small and soft for its purpose. The palette and the highlighter look amazing!
They showed everything on their Snapchat

  • Lori

Glad to see I’m not the only one hoping the formula of that palette is like Rainforest of the Sea!

  • Dena mcclure

    Hi Muse,
You probably know this, but I didn’t see them pictured. Al9ng with the above items there are several new shades of their individual metallic eyeshadow which are gorgeous. I got those, the eye palette and the highlighter. Yes I know no self control whatsoever.

    • Isabella Muse

I saw those 🙂 they aren’t part of this collection so didn’t post them but will be doing a separate post about them later today 🙂

  • Stacey

Yay! I bought the palatte. Can’t wait to hear what everyone else thinks of theirs.

  • @joannej_1974

I really want that eyeshadow palette … I’ve been wishing for colours like those purples and blues for a long time, but I’m a bit leary of Ltd. Edit. Eyeshadow palettes, so I’ll wait to see the reviews and hope it’s still available if they’re great. I did just buy that brush set as well as their shape tape and primer. *If anyone is going to be shopping at Tarte.com, you can use this code I found for 20% off (not valid on the new collection or shape tape, but it saved me $10 CAD on the primer): IPSYMAR

  • Margaret

I bought the eyeshadow and cheek palette from Sephora yesterday during my lunch break. No, I don’t need it, but work has been tough lately and that palette is irresistible!

  • Jeri S

So happy this came to Ulta! Used my points and it should be here next week.

  • Ashley

any clue if and when theses items will be released IN stores? I would love to see them and swatch them before purchasing.
