I Don’t Know Who Nurse Jamie Is But….

Who’s Nurse Jamie and why does her Fade to Light Pigment Erase Bar in a Jar sound so wonderful? This little wonderful is a cleansing bar created with kojic acid and special pigment relief actives that act to treat discolorations and darkness.

It comes with a little rubber Exfolibrush which you can swirl around the soap to create a lather and proceed to gently buff into skin. It was created to target specific areas on your face that might be experiencing darkness or discolorations. Simply lather up, leave it on for two minutes, and gently buff into skin, after rinse and pat dry.

I’m terribly curious about this. I have some minor darkness on my jawline. I’ve always referred to it as hyper-pigmentation but it’s more it’s def darker. I’m always looking for ways to treat it. Philosophy had a dark spot corrector that worked quite well but they discontinued it. Sad panda! So, I’m always looking for a replacement.

This sounds interesting enough to try. I’ve never heard of the Nurse Jamie brand before. Have you?

Every tried anything from the line?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have no idea, never heard of the brand or her, you could be right!

My middle name is google. Jamie Sherrill, RN is the ‘acknowledged’ ‘beauty expert to the stars. ‘ She has medispas, in Santa Monica , Cabo, and Abu Dhabi. Places we frequent, right? Clients include Paris, Nicole, and Khloe. Now that’s enough to make me a believer! Not. And the Nordie’s imprimatur doesn’t impress me either. Remember that a cleansing product gets washed away, and does not have the power of, say, a kojic spot treatment. Easy write off here. Burst that bubble.

4 percent hydroquinone cream will fix up any hyperpigmentation in a jiffy, just a dab’ll do ya. Thanks for all your wonderful information on all things K beauty.

Agree with the 4% hudroquinone…worked like a charm!!!use it at night to limit sun exposure and wear sunscreen during day

Couldn’t get my bluetooth keyboard to work, when I tried responding the first time. Don’t you just LOVE technology sometimes? :/ You should check out some of YouTuber: Tati’s videos (GlamLifeGuru). She’s reviewed a few (don’t know exactly how many) Nurse Jamie products. And since she lives in Cali, she actually GOES to see Nurse Jamie — personally — and buys products based on her recommendations for Tati’s skin.
Hope this helps! (At least a little bit…. 🙁
Oh and P.S. – I’ve been reading your blog FOREVER, but don’t think I’ve even really commented (maybe once of twice). Big fan, over here!

You can buy bars of kojic acid soap on amazon for under $8.

I had never heard of her until last year, when I bought her beauty bear and age delay pillow. It’s shaped so you can sleep on your side and apparently will get less wrinkles because it has a little gap so your face doesn’t get squished. I love it. Very comfortable!

Anything for belly sleepers? Guilty of sleeping on my stomach with my face squished in the pillow NOT good for wrinkles!

I am always a tad dubious about all these claims and I am not sure that celebs would always like their names to be attached to specific products…..
Before buying, I would wait for the reviews to come in and consult a dermatologist first.

There are a lot of things that in other states that an esthesician can do, but in CA you have to be a registered nurse. That is why so many nurses here have skin care clinics. She treats a lo lot of celebs she is the one who started the whole sleep with silk pillow trend. And she has some pillow that makes you sleep in a certain position that is supposedly good for your skin too. I haven’t been to here clinic but I use to go to the Kate Somerville clinic.
