It Cosmetics Perfect Lighting Radiant Touch Magic Wand ($29) is a new concealer pen that acts to correct, brighten, and conceal imperfections around your face or eye area which has a formula infused with anti-aging peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, licorice root and green tea. This seems like It Cosmetics nod to products like Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Concealer and Dior Flash Luminizer Radiance Booster Pen. I happen to be a massive fan of the Dior Booster Pen but Perfect Lighting is cheaper so, hey, I’d totally switch of the formula was as good.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches and see if it is.

It Cosmetics Perfect Lighting Radiant Touch Magic Wand Swatches (Radiant Light, Radiant Neutral, Radiant Honey)

It Cosmetics Perfect Lighting Radiant Touch Magic Wand (0.1 oz) is available in three shade collections and promises to conceal and correct minor imperfections around your face. It acts to give the appearance of a lifted and brighter complexion by applying it around areas you want to appear brighten. Apparently it contains pearl aka Drops of Light Technology that act to brighten up your complexion without glitter or shimmer. I tend to shy away from products like this as I hear glow anything and I cringe. I’m not interested in swiping anything glow-y under my eyes as it seems to act like a spotlight and accentuates my finer lines and puffiness. None the less I decided to try it because YSL and Dior’s formula say the same and neither contains any glow or glitter.

This comes in a click style pen with a brush applicator. Simply click it once or twice and the product flows directly into the brush and can be applied anywhere on your face. It’s pretty easy and basic application and it makes for easy travel should you wish to apply or touch up throughout the day.

Unfortunately, this is available in merely three shades so, you might find it difficult to find a good match. I was somewhere between the two shades Radiant Neutral and Radiant Honey. Radiant Neutral was a touch too light and Radiant Honey was a touch too dark. I’ll probably do best with Radiant Neutral when I’m a little less tan in the winter as at the moment my skin is a little darker than it normally is. However, a shade between these two would have did me just find.

I actually love this formula. It’s thin, creamy, and it blends very easily with a nice hydrating feel. It applies easily under my drier, finely lined eyes and on my drier face without adhering to drier areas and caking into my finer lines. I swipe it under my eyes, down the sides of my nose, blend, and go. It adds a nice brightening finishing touch to my makeup. You can easily wear it as a concealer for a more natural look. It’s a nice weekend concealer as it’ll make your eyes look bright and awake but isn’t heavy nor a pain to apply. It’s not super pigmented but it doesn’t lack pigment either as there’s enough coverage here that it’ll concealer minor imperfections and even diffuse the appearance of lines and puffiness under eyes while brightening up the area. This is an aging girl or guy’s greatest tool as it’ll make your eyes look a bit perkier and less tired.

I use it on the weekend with a little cheek stain and I’m good to go. Or during the week I’ll apply it after my concealer to add a little extra brightening to the area. The wear is fairly good for me as I don’t have to reapply it for several hours after. The brightening effect and coverage lasted me several hours without creasing.

It probably won’t replace my love of Dior’s pen (only because Dior’s formula is a bit more pigmented) but it’s no slacker either. If you need a quick and easy way to get your tired eyes and complexion a pick me up the It Cosmetics Perfect Lighting Radiant Touch Magic Wand is your girl!

I like how the light radiant seems to have a pink undertone, the foundation seems to have a yellow undertone, so it’s hard for me to wear. I also shy way from the “Drops of Light” they may not contain glitter and help my inner glow – but I think I look oily/shiny not glowy in them. You said this is a thin formula, is it thinner than the under eye concealer IT sells? That stuff caked horribly in my fine lines. I may need to check it out at ulta to see if it’s worth it for me.

Light Radiant is indeed pink toned 🙂 Likewise! I hear Drops of Light and I cringe! Thanks but no thanks! Lucky enough there’s no shine or glitter or shimmer here. It’s nothing like Bye Bye Under Eye. That’s a very thicker and emollient texture. This is much, much thinner and has a more creamier hydrating feel.

Since I don’t have a lot to concealer under my eyes and just need a brightener to pick me up, these look promising, though I prefer more yellowy shades. I currently just use MAC’s lightboost highlighting wand, but I am always looking for something better!

I’ve been interested in finding a cheaper version of Dior’s Radiance Booster pen – maybe I will try this!
