Yay or Nay: Bath & Body Works Face & Body Refresher

Bath & Body Works Face & Body Refresher launched a short time ago in three different scents and I have to admit as a fan of facial mists I was excited about these! This is a non-drying, alcohol-free formula that refreshes and conditions skin. It can be used on the body or on the face and is available in three scents of Acia Berry, Rose Water, and Almond Milk.

Sounds awesome right?

Have you tried them?

Yay or Nay?

I can’t believe I’m about to say this. GULP! But Bath & Body Works Face & Body Refresher are a nay for me. I tried two of the formulas in store. The mist is light and refreshing but not terribly moisturizing. They’ll make a nice prep for moisturizer as they’ll allow your other potions to absorb more easily. I thought the formula was quite nice if not a little basic for a facial mist as I typically desire something a bit more hydrating.

The price is $18.50 for 6 oz which is rather high by Bath & Body Works standards but none the less there are always sales and coupons so I can’t rant much about the price at all.

So, all in all a pretty basic, slightly expensive face mist that can also be used on your body. That’s where things get iffy! Body you say? Yes, body! I was slightly concerned about this but became even more concerned when I realized how heavily fragranced these were. They aren’t for sensitive skin types that’s for sure especially though sensitive to fragrance in their skincare. I’m actually rarely bothered by fragrance in my skincare but for some reason I didn’t really love how much fragrance these contained. I felt like I was misting my face with one of their Fine Fragrance Mists.

Nope, do not like.

I didn’t break out or anything but I just thought it was a bit too much fragrance for a facial mist. Something lighter and fresher would have been more desirable.

Interesting that Bath & Body Works is starting to creep into skincare. Not that they haven’t in the past but I’m noticing they are kind of creating these multitasking formulas lately for skin and body which I find interesting.

Have you tried the Bath & Body Works Face & Body Refresher?

What did you think?

Too much fragrance for you?

Or did you love them?

Do share!

Haven’t tried them but they sound dumb with all the fragrance in them. I don’t want that on my face. $18 is steep even with a coupon. So no thanks for me. I see these in the clearance bin the day after Christmas .

I tried the rosewater one on my arm and liked it. Nice and refreshing but I just bought the Clarins one so I don’t need another setting spray/mist anytime soon.

Rosewater was the one I didn’t try and the one I believe would actually be good for me! The other two were strong!

Oh god these sound like my personal hell, literally everything from b&bw gives me hives. They use SO much fragrance in everything. Im imagining blinding myself with these

I am so disappointed in BBW Lately . I went this past wknd and left with very few items which is unheard of for me lol! First, the fall body products sucked IMO! I mean I know to each her own, but the Autumn Bloom was horrible as was the Pumpkin Cider which smelled nothing like it should have. I like the Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte and I loved the salted Caramel Apricot as well. BUT no Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin body care??? wtf??? The aromatherapy and Argan lines were okay but I didn’t buy because I don’t love them at all. And most disappointing is the lack of Fall foaming body soaps. There were 5 and except pumpkin cupcake and they did have sweet cinnamon pumpkin, the rest were meh. It seems they focused all their energy on the aromatherapy soaps and the coconut oil and honey soaps. I’m sorry but I don’t like that formula at all! I feel like the entire store turned into a White Barn store with less focus on the products that everyone loves and looks forward to. If they screw with the holidays and do the same thing, I’m out!

There scents always puzzle me! The toss things like marshmallow, pumpkin, etc into the notes but turns into not smelling ANYTHING LIKE those things. Don’t get me wrong I love Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte but that smells nothing like coffee or pumpkin! I didn’t like the Argan Line either. was just meh! OMG ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was disappointed in the hands soaps as well! I was somewhat relieved too lol because I have a lot to get through!

Lol! I too have prolly like 100 in my stash but that’s never stopped me from stocking up! I was hoping for more pumpkin berry crumble and pumpkin cranberry cider or whatever that was from last year. The crisp morning air and apple picking just don’t do it for me. Hoping the holiday!selection is much better! From comments I’ve read on BBW Facebook page, A LOT of peeps are peeved about the lack of fall options. Hope BBW listens to their customers!

        • Isabella Muse

lol I know what you mean! They didn’t even do Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte in a hand wash foam! Only the gel one which I’m not really a fan of! I sure hope so too as I really look forward to their Fall launches! but Holiday is indeed looking much better 😀

I’ve been loving BBW lately, especially their almond vanilla scent that seems to be discontinued. I’m a sucker for anything almond. I sprayed this on my face and felt it was too fragranced but nothing negative happened to my face. Sprayed it on like a body spray and liked it. I also like that this line is hypoallergenic and considered more “simple”, whatever that means. Definitely not as sweet and sharp like their body sprays they carry. I agree about them adding random scents to things that don’t even smell like the name. Wasn’t crazy about most of their fall line this year. I’ve been loving their cocoashea line, especially the creamy body washes.

I didn’t have any reaction either but I was a little blah on how scented they were! But yeah, thankfully not as sweet as the body mists 🙂 I think they do that to cause gourmand lovers to instantly need. That’s me! I hear pumpkin latte body mist or body cream and I’m all OMG I NEED IT! But always disappointed their scents smell nothing like their namesakes!

I don’t think I’ve stepped into a B&BW in 6 years, and don’t have much desire to now…. so it’s a nay for me. I don’t use many scented skincare products.

I️ bought the Acai Berry face and body refresher during the semi annual sale for 4.50! I️ thought it was a great deal so I️ decided to give it a try. My friend and I️ got it and we liked how fine and even the spray was. I️ think it would be nice on a summer day to act as a pick me up or anytime you need a refresher. This is not at all moisturizing, which I’m not mad at because it never said to be so, but I️ really like it so far. The fragrance of this one doesn’t bother me at all, in fact I️ like it along with the rose. The almond one was far too strong for me though. Overall, a great product for how inexpensive I️ paid for it.

I personally love the refreshers i got mine for $4ish in June 2018 and it’s August 2018 now and im a little less than half way through my bottle 🙂 the only things im not crazy about are the shininess afterwards and the kinda sticky feeling it leaves behind
