E.L.F. Massaging Facial Cleanser Gives Foreo a Run For the Money

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

E.L.F. Massaging Facial Cleanser launches for $20 bucks and may just give Foreo a run for their money! Foreo launched their smaller Luna Play Cleanser about a year go for $39 and it’s adorable but you’re probably better of splurging on E.L.F.’s twenty buck Massaging Facial Cleanser. Why? Play’s battery only lasts for 100 uses and the battery can’t be replaced. Boooooo!

I imagine E.L.F. decided to capitalize on this fault and put out their very own unit. This is your standard massaging, vibrating facial cleaner created with silicone tips that act to remove dirt, oil, and makeup while gently exfoliating skin for a deep clean.

Hey, you can’t go wrong trying it for twenty bucks right?

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Get it now at www.elfcosmetics.com.

P.S. You should be watching the Deuce because James Franco but most importantly because New York! I’m bred, born, raised here and I’ve only heard stories from my parents about the Deuce (aka 42nd Street). My mom is quite fond of telling me how many peep shows lined the streets of 42nd Street in the 70’s. How she knows this I didn’t ask lol! No but seriously, I’ve heard stories about how wild 42nd Street was back in the day. Plenty has changed to say the least. It’s pretty fun watching it unfold on TV though. The girls, the pimps, the peepshows, James Franco…..

Yeah, you need to watch it 😉

Thank me later!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Aw, New York. My ancestors were in New Amsterdam, but before I knew that as a kid, I had terrible insomnia and always felt totally alone when I was awake in the middle of the night. Knowing that there was a city that “never sleeps” was a huge comfort to me. I bet your parents have great stories!

Awww I love that! If you want stories my dad has awesome stories. He came here when he was 20 years old. Didn’t speak English, had no idea what he was getting into. he swears he learned English from watching TV and dating my mom. Some of his stories are just too funny. I swear he knows every single nook and cranny in New York. Not just the city but everywhere. Every street has a story, ever building, ever store that isn’t there anymore. He’s a walking atlas of New York State. My mom has great ones but my dad, my dad is a legend.

At least not every crook and nanny. Boston’s Combat Zone was a similar, smaller, more concentrated sin district. It too met a demise, and is now at least partly medical. Your mum must be around my age. We cruised those places, like the Zone, Ptown, Harvard Square for sheer voyeurism. Once got hauled in, while trying to escape from a raid at a club. Out the bathroom window over the toilet. Brilliant! We were major underage, and were quite lucky to be released without our parents knowing. Big scolding. Now, we looked like Rosanna Arquette in Baby, It’s You, so you get the picture. Only more innocent. And major waspy, all blonds. In a skeevy place no one in their right mind would go. That is what your mum was probably up to, too. No good, but no harm. All there was to do in the suburbs was harass the couples parking near BC. Sneak up and bumper rock. Hard to imagine, now that I just turned 69! I haven’t been naughty in so long, forgotten how. But James Franco, yes!

        • Isabella Muse

LOL that cracked me up! Especially the part about “sheer voyeurism” ;-D

Oh my god, let me know if you ever make a blog or tumblr or instagram of places and his stories. I would love to read it.

        • Isabella Muse

haha that would be a bible itself ;-D He’s always telling me he wants to do an instagram account. I should open one for him and see how creative he gets!

I am enjoying the Deuce but I found it by accident. HBO ha’s a lot of great original programming but either they don’t advertise it well OR advertise it so far in advance that I forget. I did hear it’s been renewed for a 2nd season!

    • Isabella Muse

They sort of promoted it but not really during the Summer months. But most of that buzz was generated from places like Entertainment Magazine not HBO itself. Which sucks as you’re right a lot of people don’t realize it’s out there! OMG that’s awesome as I’m becoming invested in some of these character’s lives already haha!

When I finally made up my mind on a Foreo over the Clarisonic, I couldn’t pull the trigger because of the price. Won’t bat an eye at paying $100+ on skincare but I just couldn’t justify the cost for an electronic device that didn’t allow me to surf the web. After doing plenty of research…I found a comparable alternative in the SOLO Mio on Amazon for $38. Well worth it. Love it. But I definitely wouldn’t have spent the $150 on a Foreo Luna. Curious to see what people think of this ELF one. I find the shape curious.

    • Isabella Muse

LOL ;-D one day, one day you’ll be able to clean your skin and surf the web ;-D I haven’t heard of the Solo but sounds good!

The Deuce looked pretty neat, but I lost interest in anything Franco does after he propositioned a 17 year old on instagram. -_-

  • Maria

The elf cleaning device looks very interesting. I did not see any reviews on the website. I am looking for one. I read that this one has a replacement battery.

Love the Deuce, even though I have never been a fan of James Franco he is perfect casting for this. Many of the fine talents from the Wire as well. I was a young woman walking around New York in those days, probably foolish but fearless. This show is like a feast of nostalgia for me. I hope it goes on for many many seasons to come.

  • Sara

Musie..I watched the pilot of the Deuce last night cause you said so. Love! I’m going to run a bath, drink wine and binge watch some tonight! Can’t wait.

    • Isabella Muse

ha awesome Sara! Have fun! I mean how can you not love Method Man as a 70’s pimp! lol!

  • Millay

I got the Foreo Luna Mini Plus, which you can put batteries in, and it’s only priced 10 bucks higher than the non-rechargeable one so I recommend getting the Plus! While I like Elf, i’m not sure if the cleanser is of the same speed as the Foreo?

Also i’ll give the Deuce a try. James Franco euwww, but New York yay. My favourite show atm is Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Everyone watch that if you haven’t!

    • Isabella Muse

I’m not sure if the speeds are as good as Foreo! That’s def a good question ;-D I haven’t watched Crazy Ex-Girlfriend but it’s been on my list to binge ;-D thanks for the rec!
