Lipstick Queen the Dating Game Lipstick is a new selection of pink-hued lipstick shades that launched earlier in December. I picked up a single shade a few short weeks ago and I’ve been wearing it so much that I’m half way down with it. It was a shade I wore happily on Valentine’s Day paired up with golden peach cheeks courtesy NARS Orgasm, it was a shade I wore with my beloved favorite matte eyeshadow from Urban Decay in the shade Beware, and I wear it quite often with a bare eye and gently blushing cheeks for a natural look with a pop of pretty on my lips.

I honestly don’t really like bright pinks. I prefer nuder pinks, dusky roses, brown based pinks, but bright ones, not so much. I picked up the shade Mr. Right which they call rosy pink with hints of “cheery” coral. I’m not really getting the coral aspect in all honesty. To me it’s a bright pink almost a hot pink in some ways but completely wearable.

I’m a girl so, of course, I feel in love with the pink packaging first and foremost. This comes in a metallic pink barrel which resembles the packaging of some of It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi products.

As I said earlier the collection is all about pinks and there are a total of four shades available. The brand tends to focus their releases on a particular shade at times which I always find sort of helpful because they aren’t massive launches with 20 or more shades. Typically they are smaller launches with three to five shades. This helps a lot when you’re as indecisive as I am.

As with almost all Lipstick Queen formulas I was quite in love with this on first application. It provides medium-coverage that’s opaque on a single application. The formula is lightweight, creamy, and didn’t tug during application. Application was smooth and easy with a lightly hydrating feel on my drier lips and a slightly shiny finish. The color wore for me about five hours without migrating or feathering. It contains no flavor or fragrance.

All in all, Lipstick Queen The Dating Game Lipstick was is a fun way to inject a bit of pink into your Spring lip looks. The formula is fabulous with plenty of pigment and the colors are fun, sweet, and flirty.

Muse Approved.

Lipstick Queen The Dating Game Lipstick is available now at ulta.com and nordstrom.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Love LQ. Been with Poppy since her first release, Seven Deadly Sins, At Barney’s only. No longer can do most pinks, but am in for the Plum, which is debuting and at Ulta. Not sure if the 3 blackberry top tier formulas, iftn, are still available. Unless there’s some personal incompatibility, LQ does excellent product. The shade you got certainly isn’t for shrinking violets, but it flatters you in the bold way.

Looks amazing on you, Muse. I bought all 4 shades. They’re packaged so prettily and the LQ formula is fabulous! 🙂

My favorite pink is a lipstick queen shade from several years ago, one of the beach collection or something in orange packaging, it’s a true hot pink but sheer. And omg it’s amazing. I have a backup but I think this one would also be incredible in my collection.

So pretty. I swatched all four shades at Ulta, but didn’t buy. I wasn’t in a pink mood that day, plus it was hard to decide. She also has that nudes one out, so I hope down the line she’ll do comparable releases with reds, purples, berries, etc…

She actually already has her main line that contains plenty of reds, berries, and purples.
