Japanese Brands
I picked up the Moritaya Tofu Face Pack on a whim from Imomoko recently since it promised brighter skin. Lucky enough I’ve been keeping super hydrated so my normal dull skin has been behaving itself.
But hey, anything that promises brighter skin, especially from Asian brands, I’m typically all over like white on rice.
Did this work?

Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Foam is a fluffy cleansing foaming wash from Japan that I use daily. Being a big fan of the original Airy Whip from Softymo this is of course, a fast fav for me
If you’re looking for a basic cleanser that you can use after a pre-wash with cleansing oil this does the trick nicely!

I got my Cosme Decorte AQMW Makeup Coffret from Japan yesterday! This is a Holiday 2012 gift set that features an eyeshadow quad, lipgloss, and powder. I’ve been collecting these for a few years now as they are a more affordable way to indulge in the line considering how costly it is per product.
The set is 7875 yen and was released in Japan at the beginning of November. I typically ask a friend to get it for me but this year I got it from Gooddealer who had it for a reasonable $92.

Lavshuca Double Colors Lip Stick was released for Fall 2012. It’s a stick lip color which includes two matching shades that adds color and definition to lips.
I was a little intrigued by these and being such a fan of Lavshuca I was willing to give them a try.

Sana Hadanomy Aqua Placenta Moisture Cleansing Foam Wash is my newest cleanser obsession. I have this thing for foaming cleansers. I’m not really sure where the obsession stems from but I find foaming cleaners so damn fun. We really don’t have a ton of foaming cleansers in the US but Japan and much of Asia embraces them wholeheartedly.
One of the first foaming cleanser loves was Kose Airy Whip. To this day I still use and love it with all my heart! But I’m willing to cheat on it sometimes!
Sana actually just introduced their Aqua Placenta Collection, much of it I reviewed for you already! However, this cleanser just passed by my desk recently and I def had to try it out for size.

Visee Mineral Liquid Cheek Baby Finish is a recently launched gel blush available in five shades. Visee released these with their Fall 2012 Collection but I’m just now getting around to reviewing them.
Supposedly the formula contains mineral powder and gives cheeks a rosy look.

Jill Stuart Brightening Eye Cream has been apart of my daily AM regime for several months now. I purchased it in the hopes it would brighten up my tired eyes but not necessarily rid me of dark circles.
Imma tell you, if you’ve been searching for an eye cream that will rid you of dark circles just give up. It doesn’t exist. Dark circles are best concealed not treated. Seriously.
Jill Stuart Brightening Eye Cream doesn’t technically address dark circles but does promise to hydrate eyes and “improves the luminosity” of the skin under your eyes.
What does it really do?

It feels like New York kinda sorta skipped over Autumn this year and headed right for the chilly Wintery weather. It’s been a lot of rain with a nice bite of cold in the air (although today is a gorgeous Fall day).
This has caused my skin to go into havoc mode. I have flaky skin around the sides of my nose, between my brows, and a bit on my cheeks as well. My skin is feeling rather tight and dry to say the least and can’t get enough moisture. Never mind the dullness…!
This is why I need to select a good cleansing wash because many dry my skin out even further.
HadaLabo Tamagohada Daily Face Wash is the perfect daily creamy cleansing wash that keeps my skin soft and smooth after each use.

Clear Turn is one of Kose’s worst brands in my humblest. They make some rather crummy facial masks and I try to avoid them when possible.
The Kose Clear Turn Q10 Eye Mask are small eye patches enriched with Q10 Lotion to moisturize and improve firmness under eyes. My eyes can use all the moisture they can get but lately I notice they are a bit sleepy and droopy looking if I don’t get enough Zzz’s in so that’s why I indulged in these a few months ago.

KATE Powderless Liquid for Cover Foundation, odd name I know, something got lost in translation here, is a newly launched semi-matte finish foundation product from the Japanese brand that’s a liquid formula that’s supposed to turn into that of a powder within 15 seconds of application.
I typically don’t like cream to powder products but I was interested to try this after seeing swatches online as the formula looks quite nice.
Here are some of my thoughts!

Japanese brand, KATE, introduced a brand concealer for Fall 2012 entitled (stupidly named) Cover Concealer for Cover. Yeah, I know, that name, WTH!?
This is a tiny potted concealer I was eager to get my hands on as I generally like many of KATE’s offerings however, after trying it, I have mixed thoughts on it.
