WANT IT: Fresh Rose Fresh Face Primer

Well gee I must be asleep because I didn’t notice that Fresh recently introduced a new primer to their collection. I was in Atlantic City this past weekend and while at the Bluemercury Apothecary Spa I came across Fresh Rose Fresh Face Primer.

Fresh+Rose+Fresh+Face+Primer

Read ahead for the deets!

This is the third release of primer from Fresh with High Noon and Twilight already a part of the collection. Although Fresh Rose Primer could easily be mistaken for Fresh Twilight at a glance and perhaps considered a dupe rest assured in texture and formula they are considerably different. I have Fresh Twilight and it’s an iridescent finish that casts a highlight on cheeks and face. After swatching Fresh Rose I was quite delighted that it was simply a white, fresh smelling primer that absorbed easily without leaving behind a finish of any kind.

Where as High Noon and Twilight cast a glow to skin Rose simply lays the foundation for a fresh, dewy face that you can follow up with makeup or just enjoy au natural.

Likey!

I didn’t buy it as I had already indulged too much that day at the Spa but I’m thinking it made end up in my basket shortly. It’s available at Fresh’s site right now if you find you’re yearning for it after reading this.

Anyone a lover of Fresh primers?

Which ones?

WANT IT: Estée Lauder Gilded Rose Shimmer Powder

WANT IT: Cover FX The Big Cover Up 3 Step Essentials

Like everyone else in the makeup world I strive for perfection. I want to look as flawless as humanly possible. Which is why Cover FX The Big Cover Up 3 Step Essentials is currently topping my WANT list!

Cover+FX+The+Big+Cover+Up+3+Step+Essentials

Check it!

Cover FX The Big Cover Up 3 Step Essentials is a set made up of professional quality products to achieve incredible coverage for a flawless, beautiful complexion.

Baby I’m a want you!

Cover FX is a camouflage makeup that’s heavily pigmented to work at covering even the worst flaws, birth marks, tattoos, etc….This kit includes everything for covering minor to major imperfections.

The set includes:

  • Cover FX SkinPrep FX
  • Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation (3 Shade for mixin’ and cocktailin’ for your unique shade)
  • Cover FX Setting FX
  • Cover FX Precision Foundation Brush
  • How To Video

Can I tell you I’m totally enamored with this set and want it badly. The only thing that’s prevented me from fully exploring Cover FX is having to sit down and have my color matched for me. I’m not a fan of MA’s touchin’ and feelin’ all over my face so I haven’t experimented with the wide range of Cover FX foundations. Which brings me to why this kit is so appealing. It’s only available in four color combination which totally breaks down the overwhelming amount of colors available in the standard foundation. Plus it has three shades so even if I get a set that doesn’t match me completely I can still mix my proper shade.

But…ado…the $75 price tag hurts a little bit. I believe what’s included is pretty much trail size so I’m wincing slightly at the price.

Doesn’t stop me from wanting this kit though! I’m trying hard not to submit, a little moral support please?

Want It: Sonia Kashuk Sheer Magic Mineral Face Palette

Can I tell you that I had Sonia Kashuk Sheer Magic Mineral Face Palette in my cart during my last trip to Target but I kept taking it out and putting it back, taking it out and putting it back.

Sonia+Kashuk+Sheer+Magic+Mineral+Face+Palette

Needless to say I left the store without the bloody thing because I’m so bleeding indecisive.

That’s where you come into play…help a Muse out….

Click ahead to learn how!

There isn’t any question I seriously want this little wonder palette. Is palette even the proper term to use? It’s basically a stackable set of mineral foundation, mineral blush, and a creamy concealer. There isn’t any palette here but hey whatever Sonia wants to name it is fine and dandy by this Muse!

It’s only $14.99 but my cart was loaded down and that extra $15 bucks for something that may or may not be good was kinda making me worry my bottom lip and bite my finger nails deciding did I really need mineral foundation in my life? Especially considering we don’t get along so well and all. The choice was turning into should we impeach Nixon or not. It was life altering that much I’ll tell you.

So the question is, do I need Sonia Kashuk Sheer Magic Mineral Face Palette in my life or is it something I can safely skip?

I’ll be honest and say the choice has kept me up at night for the better part of the week and I’m having a bad case of non buyer’s remorse and wishing I had indulged.

It’s so damn hard being the Muse sometimes.

Sigh.

Want It: Vaseline Rosy Lips

Sometimes my lems are big sometimes they are small. At the moment they are a teeny tiny size of under £2. What a steal!

rosy+lips

Check it after the jump!

Vaseline makes a comeback in the UK with an amp’ed up version of simple everyday petroleum jelly with a hint of color. Yes, yes we all know my love affair with Smith’s but let me tell you Smith’s costs a whole heap of alot more than £1.49.

Available at Boots and Superdrug Vaseline Rosy Lips is pretty much the same concept of my beloved Smith’s but with a glossier, smoother finish and a heck of alot more pigment from the reviews I’ve heard around the town. Hey, DollFace has my favorite review of this tiny tin of joy!

Yes, I think I need more Vaseline in my life, particularly if it’s rosy in color.

If you wants it you’ll have to put your head together and do a little Sherlock Holmes searchin’ as it’s only available in the UK from what I’ve seen.

Ready To Wear Gem Radiant Complexion Powder

I’m obviously a shallow little being as I find something terribly appealing about a face powder that has a faux diamond embedded in it.

Ready+to+Wear+Cosmetics

What? Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!

Ok, ok I admit the diamond isn’t the only appeal. Ready To Wear Gem Radiant Complexion Powder looks pretty darn nice. I’m a lover of pink so I can appreciate a gorgeous pink powder for my face!

Supposedly this powder gives your face a soft focus finish with a soft creamy powder. I’m thinking Laura Geller Ethereal Rose here, horror but could be good, could just be good, I’m trying to not to let that bloody diamond lead me around by the nose.

Check it:

Just as a crystallizedTM Swarovski element reflects light, Gem Radiant Complexion Powder helps reduce the appearance of fine lines by helping ensure that light is reflected off your skin for a superior more natural look. This “jewel” of a powder helps make your skin more precious than ever with a potpourri of Coral, Amethyst, Ruby, Tourmaline, Pearl and Amber powders. The special formula is enriched with micro spherical powders, and it also helps act as an optical lifting.

That’s what they say about it. The Muse says “ohhhh look at the pretty diamond!”…ahh being shallow rocks it.

WANT! For the diamond and maybe the face powder too!

Available from HSN.

WANT IT: Philosophy Eye Hope

philosophy+eye+hope

The Muse is a bit of a Philosophy girl with her skincare so of course she wants to try out the new Philosophy Eye Hope ($48 USD)!

With the promise of a renewed hope for my skin and powerful clinical results, this sounds like the eye cream I’ve been hoping for. Six weeks of use shows significant improvement in fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness. Honestly, I’ve had great success with fine lines and dark circles but have yet to find a match that will cure my puffy eyes so here’s to hoping that Philosophy Eye Hope might do the job plus bring home with my fine lines and circles too.

Sounds good to me!

Available now from Nordies and Sephora.

Anyone try yet?

C.O. Bigelow Lemon Eau de Parfum

I freaking love the C.O. Bigelow Lemon line. The shower gel, the hand soap, the moisturizer…it’s all good news to me. So get this, best news evers, C.O. Bigelow Lemon Eau de Parfum. Can you say freak out!?

C.O.+Bigelow+Lemon+Eau+de+Parfum+1223444

WANT!

Click it for the deets!

So check it, C.O. Bigelow Lemon Eau de Parfum is inspired by my beloved, favorite Lemon Body Cream from C.O. Oh my god likey! It’s a pure, sparkling lemon fragrance that blends gren lemon leaves, citrus notes, and a creamy white musk. Sounds pretty much like what heaven smells like (I’ll write a mass e-mail when I get there one day so you know if I was right about that!).

The scent already has a near 5 star rating on the Bath and Body Works website. Likey some more! The price tag isn’t half bad either for an EDP which is $34.50 for a 3.5oz size.

I so need C.O. Bigelow Lemon Eau de Parfum in my life please. As much as I LOVE Loccitane Citrus Verbena it just doesn’t seem to last on me, sadness. So slap me excited that the C.O. Bigelow one has an EDP, maybe it’ll linger longer on me? Oh please, please, please!

The Muse is a listening and has heard a few pleas yammering for a review so as soon as I can get my hands on it, I’ll be giving the good word!

Lorac Summer Collection 2009: Lorac Baked Matte Satin Eye Shadow and Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush

Lorac

Lorac The Muse sometimes doesn’t give you enough tender, loving, care. Please don’t take offense, I do so adore you but sometimes you get pushed to the back corner but have no fear you have my utmost attention this Summer with all your delightful baked goodies.

Lorac introduces two brand new baked goodies with it’s Summer Collection. Introducing Lorac Baked Matte Satin Eye Shadow and Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush, I know, I know matte! Try not to panic! I promise we are all going to be ok.

Matte scares a Muse and probably scares about 99% of you as well. But I must say that both the Lorac Baked Matte Satin Eye Shadow and Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush look utterly dreamy and possibly easy to blend especially since they are baked which makes them extra silky smooth plus “satin” is in the name!

I’m partial to the Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush available in three shades for $24 USD each…I could cope with gathering up all three for my very own!

lorac+2

Shades available:
  • Exposed (Peachy Pink)
  • Hollywood (Bronzed Rose)
  • Velvet Rose (Plum Rose)

It’s probably safe to say Lorac could probably talk me into purchasing two or three of it’s brand new Baked Matte Satin Eye Shadows as well available in 5 shades for $22 USD each.

lorac+4

Shades available:
  • Chic (White)
  • Drama (Charcoal)
  • Insider (Deep Blue)
  • Posh (Nude)
  • Social (Brown)

Well, hello there Posh and Social! The Muse happens to be both very posh and very social (at least she likes to think she is) so you’re perfect for her.

All in all I think I like the looks of these even though “matte” is thrown around. They look quite silky and very pigmented! The Muse must get to Sephora and pick up a few for review. Keep it tuned here for the good word. It’s ok to admit that matte is where it’s at sometimes.
