About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. This is so pretty. I’m not sure about the trend in palettes and powders with images that are so pretty you almost don’t want to use them (l’m looking at you, Maison Lancome blush) but I definitely am drawn to them. Do you think you’ll be reviewing this one?

I will wait for a sale. I love the butterfly print even if it’s just over spray. I love meetmark sales. I know the line is targeted to teens but there are some things from them that are pretty good for a 30 something with the maturity of a 17 year old. – 🙂

This is freaking adorable. It would make a really pretty gift. I have never been to the Mark site, and I have never bought any of their products, but this might be the first for me.

I bought this little gem on demo since I am a rep for Avon/Mark. The pink is over spray on the butterfly, but the powder itself is lovely and sweet. If the Muse is so inclined, I will include my link to my Avon page. when its available for purchase feel free to stop on by.

I agree with you about the Mark pricing, Muse. I bought the Shimmer Cubes last summer (actually loved them so much I got a backup!) and the price (also $16) was really hard to swallow. They also have an awesome MLBB lip balm that is a way-too-pricey $8. Funny that the Avon line is so value priced while Mark seems to keep pricing itself out of the ballpark. Rant over! 🙂

i love mark michelle, great quality, great items and a bit cuter than avon offerings but agreed…same company why the higher cost?! I’ll keep buying but I have to say $16 for the powder is hitting the sephora realm. jeepers! 🙂

I sell Avon/Mark and I saw this and wanted it so bad. Even the Rep DEMO price was $9.50…I was like WTF?!

I’m not a fan of the price increases of Mark products. A few months ago there was a pair of tights that were something like $18. A purse was $70. Clothing (shirts/dresses) used to be $28-40, and they’re now closer to $60 and over. I realize there are stores where clothing is more expensive and there are a lot of people who don’t think $60 for a little dress is really a lot, but I’m not a high-end/designer shopper. I like things to be affordable. I’m just sad that I’ve been following and buying Avon/Mark products for a long time and it just seemed so sudden.

The reason I rarely purchase Mark, though they constantly tempt me with their prettiness, is the fact the their products rarely go on sale. Avon constantly discounts their items but Mark notsomuch (unless its on clearance). There is a “pleather” jacket in their most recent magalog for $70+ bucks. Really? For pleather?

I’ve noticed the price increase in mark products as well…their eyeshadow make-your-own palette things (I think they’re called i-mark) used to be $4.50 an eyeshadow, but at $6 and the increase in palette prices you’re better off just going with inglot! and their lipclick lipsticks are ridiculous! meh. sorry for this mini-rant, but mark used to be good quality AND affordable.
