There are days that it has been very tempting to run around the streets of Manhattan with an Etude House Black Hydrogel Eye Patch on telling people, “I’m Batman!” I haven’t quite worked up the courage to do it yet but someday! For now, I just wear one and run around my house yelling, “I’m Batman!”
Aside from the endless hours of joy you’ll get out of this eye mask playing your favorite super hero, it also happens to be a nice treat for your eyes too! I keep a stash around for nights I have time to pamper myself before heading out for the evening.
The mask is in fact shaped like a close fitting super hero mask (with cute little ears). It covers both the top portion of your eyes and the lower one as well as your entire brow area and lower forehead. Slap it on in the evening before heading out and it’ll make your eyes a little brighter and plumper. I wouldn’t say it acts to completely depuff but it does a fine job on what I call “gamer eyes”. When I stare at my computer screen for hours on end during a gaming sesh my eyes end up looking rather tired, puffy, and dry. This little mask eliminates most of that and makes you look all bushy tailed and awake again.
The mask has a gelatin like texture that adheres well to your face. I leave it for about 15 minutes while I’m getting ready for a night out. This isn’t your typical sheet mask so there isn’t a ton of essence dripping down your face during the wear. It doesn’t drip nor does it feel wet. The jelly-like texture of the mask is absorbed into the skin as you wear it. After you remove it, you’ll notice no excess essence. Just pat a little eye serum, eye cream, or both under your eyes after and you can apply makeup as normally. This are a nice treat to spoil your eyes with when they need a little waking up. The results, in my experience, aren’t long term. But when I’m looking tired after a day at work yet I’m heading out for the night and want to look a bit peppy I tend to reach for this eye mask to look more awake and refreshed.
