Meltdown Makeup Remover Cleansing Oil Stick, Meltdown Makeup Remover Lip Oil Stick, and other interesting offerings are available with the new Urban Decay Rehab Skincare that launched today at Sephora and Ulta. Yes, that’s right, Urban Decay is getting in on the skincare game!

You might not call Rehab Skincare UD’s first venture into skincare considering they have had little fixes here and there in the skincare department like the much beloved Deslick in a Tube. As a dry skin girl I loved that stuff in the Summer! It seriously kept shine at bay in a major way.

Count me curious about some of these new skincare goodies.

P.S. One of the most interesting pieces of news I heard this month is the fact they are remaking Suspiria. Hopefully we have some Italian horror fans out there in makeup land! Dakota Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz and Tilda Swinton are going to be in it. Did your brain just explode? Mine did. But don’t get too excited. The remake is stripping the color palette and incredibly haunting music that made the film, well, it made it terrifying! Most fans find that sacrilege but apparently the film will have more plot and a story. So, technically it doesn’t have to rely upon the vibrant color palette and eerie good music that Argento used. If we’re honest fans without either of the two Suspiria is just a B-Movie with a bad plot. Gulp! Yup, I said it. The music literally brought the film to life and it made you throw your covers over your head in fear of what was lurking around the corner. That legendary dark and rainy night scene of a drenched Suzy making her way to Tanz Dance Academy feels like she’s headed towards her death. Not to mention the vibrant colors especially the blood red lighting made your fingers cover your eyes as you peeked through them in terror that someone was going to whip a knife out and spill blood all over the screen. I feel like Rob Zombie tried to capture some of Suspiria’s origin in the Lords of Salem. Anyway, I’m really eager to see it! That’s your Monday randomness for now but let’s get back to Urban Decay Rehab Skincare right? Right!

Skip ahead for more deets on this new skincare!

Ooh, I’m interested in UD’s skincare! But only passingly interested, I have a simple skincare regiment that I don’t want to change up because it works so well. If it ain’t broke, you know!

But as for that movie? Never heard of it, but I already want to see the original! I was looking at stills from the film and it looks very chic. If it’s high fashion and terrifying I’m in! I wonder if I can stream it or if it’s just on DVD?

    • Isabella Muse

I always tell myself that especially since much of my skincare works already and works good but I’m ALWAYS tempted by something new 😀 If you have a roku some of the free movie apps have it available with commercials! Def watch it, it’s the best of the trilogy in my opinion (there are two others but they can be enjoyed without watching all three in my opinion).

  • Jes

Interesting. I never tried De Slick in a Tube either. Dang it.

I can’t believe they are remaking Suspiria! That movie has one of the most uncomfortable/skin crawling scenes…barbed wire. Shivers.

    • Isabella Muse

I didn’t try the new one yet! They remade it I wonder if it is good. The old one in a Tube was excellent!!!!!!!! Right?! Crazy! I’m so eager to see the new one. Tilda seems like a great pick for it, she does creepy well! 😀 Haha I love that barbed wire scene!

      • Jes

I’ll have to check it out. Yeah, that scene is up there with many scenes in Audition. I just saw Raw on Saturday. Grisly, disturbing, and a bit disjointed (intentionally, maybe), but really ‘looks’ good.

        • Isabella Muse

oh Audition is fab. great Japanese horror, if you Asian horror you should check out tale of two sisters, Korean not Japanese but interesting. Not as gross, horrific as Audition but still many jumps!

  • Susan

Seems expensive for the small sizes — a peeling mask that’s $26 for only 1 ounce? However, I look forward to reading your review(s) of this new line.

That clip of Suspiria made me say, “Damn! I miss the ’70s!!!” 😉

    • Isabella Muse

I’m curious about the peeling mask for blackheads on my nose 😀 haha! yeah the 70’s was great for good horror films!

  • Heidi

Suspiria won’t be the same without that color scheme. It is kind of an Easter Egg (on acid) of a B movie, but it’s riveting nonetheless.

    • Isabella Muse

without the music the color palette, I do wonder how good it’ll be. According to rumors they are giving it more of a plot thus they don’t have the rely on the psychedelic colors and acid trip music. But I agree, I’ll miss the color. The color was part of the appeal of the film. Even the blood they used was so bright and vibrant.

  • Nat

Ugggghhhh no, I hates remakes! I love Suspiria; there’s no way they can make it any better. I love those old Italian horror films (mainly the zombie ones, heh heh). Have you ever watched The Stendhal Syndrome? I looooove that one! I have a soft spot for aesthetically pleasing horror movies. 😀

    • Isabella Muse

Yes I have! I think I’ve seen everything Asia Argento has been in, I have a severe girl crush on her. It’s not horror but see B Monkey if you have a chance, she’s in it, it’s quite good.

        • Isabella Muse

She was quite beautiful as Madame du Barry, she looked fantastic in longer hair, she’s since gone with a pixie cut. Oh yes! I read about that last year but never heard about a release on it!!!!!!!

  • kjh

Can somebody shoot your autocorrect? I have tried to type Gialli Omg it worked. Love Dario Argentina and Mario Bavaria. Bava, dammit. Argento, dammit. One of my faves is Profondo Rosso, with David Hemmings, who started out gorgeous. I think he did his own Italian. The style of gialli is indescribable. I love ’em, even though don’t particularly like the horror genre. Didn’t Kat spell Suspiria as Susperia? Still liked the nod. And Nosferatu…German expressionist films…another singular genre….is being rechristened Nazz Fur Atoo? I say wtf? A reference is a reference. Don’t dumb it down. At least I get most of kvd. Tarte, not so much. My inner Luddite is showing.

    • Isabella Muse

LOL! Surprised they didn’t auto correct it to Galileo! Baron Blood and Black Sabbath (my fav of the tree The Drop of Water)! Giallo is definitely a unique horror experience, it has a certain vintage feel yet still has a modern look. It’s trippy to say the least and I think the vibrancy somehow lends to the creepiness of it 😀 I honestly didn’t get Kat’s reference because the color was so wrong, one would expect a bright red 😀 hmm haven’t heard of the nazz fur atoo rechristening lol!

  • Christina

They had the best oil-free moisturizer; I was so bummed when they dc’d that!

      • Christina

Back in early 2000; but I was living in Australia at the time so maybe it was only there?

        • Isabella Muse

no, no you could be right, it could be I simply don’t remember it 😀

  • Erin

I love that you are a bit of a horror buff! As soon as I read Suspiria I freaked out. It’s my favorite horror film of all time. Italian Horror is both decadent and beautiful. Dario Argento is an atmospheric and cinematic genius. I’m in fashion, so I constantly draw inspiration from his films. However, I am against this remake. Great actors penned for the project, but it should be titled something else. Why trample on the coat tails of a cinematic horror genre masterpiece that is Suspiria? It’s an experience all on it’s on. Thanks for being even more cool Muse!! <3

    • Isabella Muse

🙂 a girl of many coats am I! I have to admit I’m both excited and wary of a remake. I love some of the people in it, especially Tilda, but remakes are never true to the original. I have my hopes but also plenty of doubts. We shall see 😀 haha, I’m just glad there are more horror nerds out there that have actually seen and love Suspiria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Carrie

I love horror, but have never seen Susperia. I will probably check it out sooner or later. As for the remake, I may give it a go just for Tilda Swinton.
