Dunno about you but I get sucked into the Target vortex every single time I enter the store. Recently, my best friend had to wrestle a Victoria Beckham Paper Doll Book from the death grip on had on it. Apparently, I’m too old for paper dolls.

Typically Target runs consist of, “I’m going to buy toilet paper!” and suddenly, you’re walking out the door with $300 worth of stuff in your cart and not a single roll of toilet paper in sight.

Try to avoid the makeup, skincare, and beauty aisles as Target is filled with some new goodies that I think I’ll have to go back and snag. Along with that missing toilet paper, of course.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Thanks for the info Muse. I love lip balm and I must have over 20 plus at home and in my bag.

  • Kimmwc03

    Yes, Target does it again.

I haven’t been a huge fan of the Honest Beauty items I’ve tried but for some reason I want to try the eye cream and the powder cleanser. Hoping they bring them out in sample/travel sizes at some point!

    • Isabella Muse

I haven’t tried a lot of it in all honesty, a few pieces have intrigued me but the price point seemed a little high for something available so broadly…I mean it doesn’t quite feel mid-range but it isn’t really budget either yanno?

  • Robin

I’m buying Burts Bees! For each item sold, 500 wildflower seeds will be planted for the bees!!! The state of SC accidentally killed 3 million local bees! They sprayed for Zika prevention, but didn’t tell the local bee keepers. Anything I can do to help the bee population, I’m in!

    • kjh

Holy crap! They’ll lose so many crops. And hive collapse disorder is a very real problem, as well. Once they sprayed for EEE near me in a state park, and the insects were all dropping dead all over, like rain. Very scary. My dogs turned themselves around to go home. I agreed.

      • Robin

Yeah it was horrible.. the state normally warns them so beekeepers can protect the hives. But people were not warned and since it was an aerial application instead of the normal truck application, the bees didn’t have a chance, it killed all insects that day. They are also worried about the butterflies, but because people had bee hives, they saw the direct outcome. The pictures on the local news were heartbreaking. I don’t know how long it takes to replace that many bees. there is a campaign with Honeynut
Cheerios were the bee is missing on the box. They are trying to bring attention about the low honeybee population and how that impacts all of us.

GASP! WE ARE FRIENDS for a reason! I’m taking my mom in June to the Book Expo, he’ll be there. 😀 high five for great minds thinking alike!

      • Ruth

high five *palm smack*! We are totally awesome friends! When am I ever going to get another chance to hear him speak? and it’s Hawkeye!! I know that he’s done a million other things, but we watch MASH pretty regularly and absolutely adore it & him.

I’ve seen video of Book Expo and it looks absolutely bananas with so many book lovers- you both are going to have a great time!

        • Isabella Muse

sadly, it’s only meet/sign at the Book Expo! 🙁 My mom is a massive Mash fan ;-D Do you get ME TV? They are constantly playing reruns 😀 I’m a book worm if nothing else so book expo is freaking better than IMATS to me 😀

          • Ruth

we used to get MeTV and they just removed it from our area at the beginning of April-super salty about it too. The Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, and MASH were on Me and we don’t know if the channel is coming back or not.

At mine, I’m not sure if it’s a speech only or with a meet & sign but a copy of the book is included. I looked at the book exp site and it says that he’s doing a stage talk- so maybe you can do both because that would be awesome.

HUGE bookworm!! reading is one of my most favorite things! I’d much rather go to a book fair/festival than Imats! my TBR has it’s own case-a shelf is for amateurs. it’s completely outta control.

          • Isabella Muse

oh that sucks! I haven’t watched in a bit, been swamped, but I was loving all the reruns of Wonder Woman, Incredible Hulk, and yes, Love Boat hahaha 😀 I purchased tickets for the book expo several weeks ago without research because my mom got so excited he was going to be there 😀 Ha! Likewise! Don’t get me wrong makeup is great but books are way better 🙂 I’m trying to create some sort of Summer reading list at the moment but failing horribly because I’ve been so busy with everything else! We need to sit down one day and swap lists!

  • Susan

I seriously have a target run addiction. My local one is literally like 3 miles from my house, which makes it very easy to run out and pick up needed items. Now if I could only stay out of the health and beauty aisles. My bank account would love me. That Honest brand of the single packet facial cleanser sounds like a lovely way to travel with a skin cleanser. And of course I will want to try any new lip moisturizers, this is a weakness of mine because I hate for my lips to feel dry.

    • Isabella Muse

oh no! that’s bad lol! If it was around the block I’d be in trouble ;D

  • Ruth

I’ve never created a reading list! O_o something new to obsess over!! I have some really cute notebooks, colored pens, and washi tape, the summer reading list is going to be on- oh yes! i’ve finally gotten into goodreads to keep track of what I read and it’s mostly fantasy, murder mysteries, and some horror thrown in for good measure. If i could only buy one thing in life and had to choose between books and make up, I’d always pick books.

I totally get your mom’s excitement- me too! i grew up watching MASH every night in reruns and vaguely remember watching the last live episode and Hawkeye was my favorite! When I saw Murder at 1600 and he was the villain, i felt a little betrayed.

    • Isabella Muse

Goodreads 😀 perfect place for creating lists haha! I’d pick books too, no question, none at all 😀 LOL I love you took it personal that he was the villain ;D AWww!

  • Susan K

My Target is 3 miles away too. I “popped” in the other day for 3 things and was in there for two hours! I’ll never understand how it happens but it does all the time. Love me tv and also cozi tv. Basically all the nostalgia channels, cause I’m, you know, gettin ‘ol lol . Totally picking up that revo set. Marshmallow!!

  • Dee

I ran to Target and got the Honest eye cream. I’ve never tried any of this line and am hoping it works. But the cost! If it works it will be worth it. I’ve never had luck with any of the depuffing products either. I didn’t see any of the single packet cleansers but want to try those. I am with Susan as far as having a Target addiction!

    • Isabella Muse

Let me know how it goes! I always feel Honest is a bit highly priced :-/ wish it was a little cheaper!

  • Z

Is anyone here mad that you can’t buy Laniege at Target anymore? Or was it really supposed to be a one-year deal with Target and Laniege and I missed that fine print?

    • Isabella Muse

My target still has a display, did they remove?! I didn’t even know they had a one year deal?! they launched 2014 so it’s been way more than a year at this point!
