Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven Makeup

7-Eleven Makeup or Simply Me Beauty as it’s called is a real thing so, along with that Big Gulp and super size bag of BQ Corn Nuts you can now get mascara, lipstick, hell, even false lashes. But really, does this surprise anyone? The makeup and beauty industry grows by 5 to 8% ever year for the last several years. Beauty influencers, youTubers, social media, and brands have created a cult-like obsession with all things makeup which means everyone wants a slice of the beauty pie including your local 7-Eleven.

Simply Me Beauty by 7-Eleven apparently will have beauty and makeup picks that includes BB Creams, Lipsticks, Mascaras, False Lashes, Concealers, and more for under $5 each. And yes, they can all be purchased at 7-Eleven.

Oh Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven Makeup.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. It makes sense! A few years back I was getting ready to drive with my bestie to see Bianca Del Rio and we had meet and greets so I wanted to look my best. What do you know, I forgot to put on mascara.

So we were already close to our destination when I noticed this and I told my best friend we needed to pop into a Sephora for mascara. I can understand 7-Eleven hopping on board, you forget a thing and it’s easy to grab your falsies with your morning coffee!

Are you serious? Well, I guess, bec you don’t get high in the middle of a work day. This sounds quite absurd, and yet, at the same time, maybe makes sense. Dollar Tree can have some fab closeouts. I got the wnw fergie primer and a few others. Right now, they have wnw and elf brushes, in d/c’d handle colors. But 7/11 has take out food. And creepy people playing let’s make a drug deal. Any place I would not buy coffee, I would not buy m/u. Clicking over to check it out. Kind of skeevy. Hell, the local big Sephora is known as the 7-11 of m/u. Guess S will have to be remonickered.

My local 7/11 used to carry some e.l.f. products a few years ago, but I started to notice they weren’t restocking after a while, and for about a year, nothing. A month or so ago, I noticed this brand popped up, and it reminds me a lot of e.l.f., and I wonder if the two brands are somehow connected. On another note, my local Ralph’s (Kroger) market just got in a pretty good range of e.l.f. around the same time.

It could be possible they are sister brands! Like when Walgreens started carrying their own disney makeup line and took over from E.L.F. Pretty much looked exactly the same as the E.L.F. ones! I imagine they were made in the same factory!

I recall reading something about 7-11 was really going after the soccer mom set. They wanted to be seen as a place to stop off and buy a hot dinner and some essentials on the way home with the kids. I suppose a beauty line feeds into this. But I still don’t think of 7-11 as a stop off for this kind of shopping. Maybe for some corn nuts before a ball game.

This cracks me up and I mentally checked that it wasn’t April 1st!

Buuuuuut I’m no makeup snob. I’d totally try it.

I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I am really curious! There’s a split-pan duo highlighter I want to pick up that reminds me a lot of the Too Faced Candlelight duo.

All the 7-11’s near me have closed! 🙁 No cheap makeup for me. Guess I’ll have to live vicariously through you, Muse.

Convenience stores in Japan are known for having good beauty products – I think Shiseido does a line for them. Maybe we’re just catching up to that idea. Another reason to go to Japan… ; )

I saw Simply Me Beauty at 7/11 a week ago so I looked up the brand. All I could find on it was someone did a YouTube review on a few of the products. The concealer was too yellow on her, the blush too pigmented, some of the eyeshadows didn’t show up well, mascara was very clumpy, and lip color was straight up orange and smelled like crayon. However, she did say her boyfriend picked out everything for her so maybe other shades would’ve worked better. Overall she wasn’t impressed with the line. I think this makeup would only be ok for extreme emergency situations.
