Hair girls and guys gather round as it’s time for the Sephora Favorites Summer Hair Saviors that launched for the Summer 2018 season. Hi, I take 10 hours to put on my face in the morning but put minimal effort into my hair. How about you?

Ha!

Yes, that’s the story of my life. I tend to really do very little with my hair. Pigtails to bed, in a bun to work, and long and loose if I’m heading out for the night. When I was little my dad would braid my hair for me because my mom so wasn’t hair savvy either. I legit had a mullet (business in front, party in the back) when I was in grade school! There are so many days that go by where I think to myself, “Cut it off!” but of course, I don’t have the heart to do it. It’s long, very long, and very wavy and very out of control. So, slicking it back into a bun is my hair style of choice.

Maybe I need this Sephora Favorites Set?!

This $38 dollar set is pretty cool if you’re heading on vacay soon! As the smaller sizes are great for travel!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Eugene! You are cracking me up this morning. Just had to share that I have grade school pictures of me with a mullet as well. I don’t remember having one but my mom did like to “cut” my hair herself sometimes. She also once permed only my bangs for some reason, the rest was straight. Lol She was a school principal….

    • Isabella Muse

thank gawd someone else had mullet in grade school! LOL! My mom was hopeless doing hair! maybe that’s why I had a mullet lol!

  • Carol

Also, Eugene called it a Tennessee Tophat, which I had never heard before. We always called them a mullet. Wonder where that term came from?

    • Isabella Muse

I had never heard it called that until he mentioned it lol! there were plenty of memes ever after he said it though ;-D

  • Saoirce

I never had a mullet, but I love that you posted a photo of Eugene!!!

I love putting my makeup on. I wake up extra early so I don’t have to rush through it every morning. My hair is another story. I must have a super low maintenance cut because I absolutely hate doing my hair. I’m thankful for having a fantastic hairdresser who gives me style without fuss. And just as much as I love buying makeup, I hate buying hair products!

    • Isabella Muse

lol glad you enjoyed Eugene randomly popping up in this post ;-D LOL you sound like me! I really keep things simple because I hate my hair and I hate doing it!

I’d love to see a pic of you with your hair done. I was wondering if you had any.(kidding) LOL. Every pic is your hair pulled back with a headband.

    • Isabella Muse

follow me on Insta 🙂 I post pics on there from time to time! I have hair, too much of it thus pulling it back and keeping it out of my face ;-D!

  • Terri

I’m with you. I spend all this time on skincare and makeup then just throw my hair up!!

    • Isabella Muse

LOL we are probably doing things wrong but eff it ;D

Is it creepy of me for wishing to see The Muse with ” … hair all long & hanging down “? ( that’s a line from a very creepy old song ).

    • Isabella Muse

I think that was Jesse with the hair all long and hanging down lol!

      • Jodi

The lyrics that haunted my youth in the dark of night were :
” Into my room he creeps
        Without making a sound
        Into my dreams he peeps
With his hair all long and hanging down”
Invoked my imagination to create the mental image of a scraggly haired Crypt Keeper looking guy with reaching skeletal fingers …
I haven’t thought of it in years … just now Googled the lyrics, ( thought I may have made the whole thing up )… Discovered that the indeed my memory is accurate … such a song exists & the creepiness persists!
” Stay Awhile ” by “The Bells ” ugh! yuck! ick!

        • Isabella Muse

oh! I thought you were referencing “Jesse With the Long Hair Hangin’ Down” Robert Earl Keen hicksvilleusa music lol!

          • Jodi

Hadn’t heard that one before so I just watched the video … nothing scary there. I imagine that Jessie was dead sexy in a Marlboro Man kind of way

          • Isabella Muse

LOL! No, no harm with Jessie lol! Your creepy long hair guy was way scarier! ;D

  • Brandy

I second the grade school mullet pic from you Muse. I didn’t have the mullet, but I did have the bowl cut that my mom gave me when I decided I wanted to be a gymnast for a few months. I’m not fussy with hair products and generally go for whatever Ulta is having a sale on. I don’t find hair products do much for my flat hair anyways.
