Break Me Off a Piece of that Etude House KitKat Play Color Eyes Mini Eyeshadow Palette

Happy Valentine’s Day (almost)! Time for chocolate and Etude House Kitkat Play Color Eyeshadow Palettes! Etude House teams up with everyone’s favorite chocolate this Valentine’s Day, KitKat, to bring you not one but two chocolate-y inspired eyeshadow palettes.

If you know ANYTHING at all about Asian food culture you know that the best KitKat flavors come from Japan and Korea. Strawberry, Matcha (my favorite!), Cheesecake, Apple Vinegar, Caramel Pudding, Peach, you name it and Japan likely flavored a KitKat with it.

If you happen to have an Hmart in your area you can haul ass over there and grab some great Oreos and KitKat flavors (and other Korean snacks and goodies like Pizza Pretz which I can’t live without).

But I digress! Because if I start talking about Asian snacks I’ll be here all damn day!

Today Etude House launched one of their KitKat Play Color Eyes Mini Eyeshadow Palette that, you guessed it, is shaped like a KitKat and contains six shades that look good enough to break off and eat. This is a warmer, chocolate palette but there’s also another shade selection on the way called White Strawberry Chocolate which is a lighter selection of cooler pinks!

Needless to say I need them both.

See more pictures below! Believe me it’s worth the jump!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Adorable!
One of my favorite Japanese KitKat flavors is green tea. Delicious!

  • Lesley Amano

OMG I must have these — any idea what sites will get them in (other than eBay/resale)?

  • Christina

OK! Why not. I’ll take one. LOL! I just finished all the KitKats I hauled from Japan, and if you can get your hands on a purple sweet potato, I highly recommend. It doesn’t taste like a potato at all; just creamy sweetness. LOL! I’m not a fan of sweets, but this was the crowd favourite, along with peach!

    • Isabella Muse

ok so, I was TEMPTED by these but I skipped. My friend Mai insisted the sweet potato was amazing but I don’t like sweet potato at all I was a little skeptical! Like what what you compare it to? creamy as in a milk-like taste? I’m curious but I’m also terrified lol! Did you try the sakura? They were surprisingly yummy! Peach is high on my list of favs. PS Australia has some brilliant flavors too! Off Kitkat but they did a butterscotch snicker a while ago! Why do we not get these thigns in the USA?!

      • Christina

Not milk, but more like a taro and condensed milk combo–not the real taro, but as in taro shakes and desserts, which I don’t normally like, by the way. I’m all sorts of contradictory, but trust me and Mai when we say it’s good. Haha! My sisters hates sweet potato and taro, but she loved the kit kat version. It disappeared the quickest amongst friends and family.

I didn’t even know HMart carried them. Must go hunting!

I’ve tried Sakura, which was ok, but I think Peach was way better. Let’s see, I think I’ve tried the strawberry cheesecake, creme brulee, matcha, flan, sake, grape, banana, melon, cranberries and nuts (or something like that), toasted black tea, strong green tea, dark chocolate, citrus, and some weird halloween flavor. Haha! It’s so hard to tell when you can’t read the language.

And, yes, US doesn’t get a lot of interesting flavours. I think even Canada gets more interesting flavours than what we get here, so I usually load up on snacks and sweets for people when I go back. LOL!

They are so cute! I’m gonna pick up both of them like you, but if I had to pick one, the original red one looks fabulous. But here’s my question… do they SMELL like KitKat??

  • Violet

Ooo…yummy! I can’t wait til they are available! The packaging is adorable!
I am not a KitKat fan in general, but then I tried the green tea and I’m hooked too. Sadly, my local Asian market stopped stocking them years ago, so I have to get then from Amazon or EBAY.

  • Carolina

I so want this! That’s probably because I love to eat KitKats. However, I need another eyeshadow palette like I need a hole in my head. Even if I live to be 100, I think I am well stocked with palettes!

  • Maritza

I love japanese kit kat and thus idea is beyond cute buttt i have these colours a hundred times over so Ill pass

  • kjh

Beyond adorable. Thanks for reminding me to check out H Mart, there’s an Aritaum there, too, semi-near me.

  • Lacy

Matcha KitKats are my jam, hell matcha anything and I’m there! Also both of these are way too cute and I need them both! I love that you put things on my radar that I wouldn’t otherwise know about!

  • Jaimie

These palettes are adorable! I didn’t know they made these fun flavors of Kit Kats. I looked up the Matcha ones and found them at World Market, so apparently you can buy them in States now! Link below. Can’t wait to try!

hmart has a ton of flavors you can purchase in store 🙂 They aren’t something you can go into CVS to pick up but certain stores do sell them especially if you live in the city.

      • Jaimie

Good to know! I’m gonna check these out. I love trying new things, especially when the new things are fun flavors of candy!

  • Kish

I thought of you right away when I saw these on Instagram last night. They are so cute! I used to have a friend in England who would send chocolate orange kit kats, they were amazing.

  • Olivia

Oh my goodness… Muse you’ve really turned me on to Etude House totally sight unseen. After your review of the Coffee to Go cup, I bought a set off eBay and now I’m totally hooked. I might spring for these too… Thank you for your awesome suggestions!!

    • Isabella Muse

yay!!!!!!!!! ;-D I’m happy to hear it! Etude House def has some really fun makeup! So glad you enjoyed the Coffee to Go Collection ;-D There’s a new purple eyeshadow palette available for Spring btw!

  • Amy

These are so adorable! I ended up picking both on ebay because I was afraid they might sell out quickly. These seem to be super popular!

And I recently ordered some things from the Etude House Piglet collection and I can’t wait for them to get here. They have had the cutest collections lately!

    • Isabella Muse

Likewise! I ordered them from an ebay seller right away as I was concerned they’d disappear! Yay! the piglet collection is so darn cute and well worth picking up!

      • L. Amano

I found them on BeautyboxKorea. I’d bought from various Korean sites but had never used that particular site before– just got a shipping confirmation so seems legit.

        • Isabella Muse

I don’t use them sadly bc they ship really slow! But hopefully you get it fast!

          • L. Amano

Will see — there were 3 choices– EMS, DHL or UPS. Chose UPS and estimate was 3-7 days.

          • Isabella Muse

by UPS airmail? Wow that’s fast. I ordered from them and it took about 21 days via ups. I’m impatient AF ;-D

  • Jaimie

You can also buy them directly from
    etudehouse.com for $24!

Free shipping over $100 though. I prefer free shipping lol!

    • Isabella Muse

:-/ I hate EH’s website. They take ages to ship and things arrive broke and they won’t refund :-/ blah!
