I Don’t Shave My Legs With Oil But I Might Be Convinced To Try It

My sister shaves her legs with soap which I find crazy. I’ve tried shaving with soap and I just don’t get a close enough shave. Anyone else with me on that? I shave with shaving cream because I feel like it gives me a close shave and it keeps my legs lightly hydrated after. But I think I can be convinced to try oil. Does anyone shave with oil? I’ve never tried it to be honest. For one thing, oils in the shower scare me! Just oils in general anywhere in the bathroom are scary. I’m so terrified they’ll end up on the floor of the bathroom or shower and I’ll end up slipping and falling. So, I’m not sure about the whole saving my legs with oil thing but I am curious to try.

I’m mentioning this because I never noticed before but Tree Hut has some scented Bare Moisturizing Shave Oils that look intriguing. These are created with a blend of grape, jojoba, and sesame oils this shaving oil can be used on wet skin to provide a smooth, easy glide for your razor. They are available in Coconut Lime, Tahitian Vanilla Bean, and Moroccan Rose scents.

I’m going try one. I’ll report back!

Tree Hut Bare Moisturizing Shave Oil are $11.99 each or use code 835074 to get 20% Off.

Have you ever shaved with oil?

Did you get a closer shave?

Did it clog up your razor?

Do share!

And P.S. Happy Monday! I hope you’re doing ok over there and remaining positive. I really thought this would be over by now! We’ll get there soon I hope!

I really love this stuff! Tree Hut sent me some coupons last year and they included a mini of this oil. Changed my life, my legs are so much smoother and they don’t feel dry at all. I’m going to buy the coconut lime full size.

I tried the og version (not sure if what was even scented) and I liked it but it’s so difficult to find in store that I didn’t repurchase. It actually had more of a gel like consistency than a slippery oil, which is a pro. I didn’t think it worked any better than my shaving cream though.

well that’s good news! I’m always scared of slipping in the shower when I use oils!

It’s a great product! And no, it doesn’t leave a film in the shower. My wife and I have gone through a couple bottles. It’s a step up from shaving cream in my opinion.

that’s a relief bc I’m a klutz and would fall and slip knowing my luck!

I use this AFTER shaving while your skin is still wet. Keeps you soft & irritation/bump free 😉

I haven’t tried this but if it’s anything like laOccitane almond shower oil I would buy a gallon of it. I love that stuff and it’s not a real oil, it’s like a thick shower gel with maybe an oil like element? Sounds disgusting I know but it’s incredible. Like a thick foam up that really clings and moisturizes instead of slipping off like regular shower gel. I love shaving with that stuff and there aren’t many similar products I’ve seen.

IDK how my oily skin went dry on my extremities and I have to use both oil and body butter, but.. So I’ve used Shea moisture oils for shaving a lot. I take baths, so slipping isn’t an issue. I grease up in the tub, both oil and butter, after rinsing and the water is gone. Haven’t slipped yet, despite sometimes moving like Igor. I like the oil; somehow it’s easier than shaving cream not to miss any hairs. Go for it. Tree Hut makes good stuff, and they’re frequently on sale at Ulta.

I love these shave oils, they are wonderful! So much better than soap or shave cream. They are like gel consistency but don’t leave your skin or shower floor feeling oily. They’ve been out for a while but Tree Hut just released these new scents…and raised the price! They used to be under $10. Amazon has the old scents for cheaper, I got a few on there recently.

I bought a shave oil from Tree Hut last year. It was just called bare. I love it! You get a nice clean close shave and it smells lovely. Try one of these you will like them.

In a pinch, when I ran out of my shaving gel cream I tried coconut oil…never again! Everything was slippery from me to the razor handle to my tub. Clogged up my razor something awful too. Just rinsing the blades as I do normally, wasn’t enough to clean the blades in between swipes on my legs. I’ve had the same issue with my razor blade when using certain scrubs that leave on oily layer on my skin post use. I prefer my oils post shave as a matter of survival. I’ve also used conditioner or lotion in times of crisis with results similar to using a shaving gel cream. I know what you mean about not getting as lose of a shave with soap, plus I find it really dries my skin out. But now, after reading this, I must say you’ve peaked my curiosity.

that’s what I worry about when it comes to oil! Plus it’s hard to rinse off and clean up! 🙁 I’m curious though as people said this is more of a gel!
