Stila Bohemian Renaissance for Fall 2020

Stila debuted their Bohemian Renaissance for Fall 2020 Makeup Collection late yesterday! They do race to the finish line quickly don’t they? Seriously, Stila is almost always the first brand to get their latest seasonal collection out first! You can snag 20% Off new products with code NEW by the way!

There’s a few interesting releases in this collection like the Kaleidoscope Eyeshadow which is oddly available in a single shade. This puzzles me but hey, that’s cool because sometimes it’s tough being presented 20 shades and having to sort through them and convince yourself not to buy every single one. There’s also a new Plumping Lip Glaze which feels long overdue! As a Lip Glazed fan I’m over like, “Hey guys why haven’t we gotten a plumping formula prior to this!?” That does come in a variety of shades if you’re wondering.

And of course, the very interesting One Step Correct Eye Correcting & Brightening Serum that has a helix-like design and looks like the T-Virus and was potentially created in an underground lab in Raccoon City somewhere. I mean, I can neither deny or confirm that but…!

This is a peachy toned primer that apparently erased dark circles, brightens, and hydrates while depuffing and turning you into the living dead. That last part was probably made up! Or is it?

Stila Kaleidoscope Eyeshadow $18
Stila’s classic Kitten Eyeshadow re-envisioned as a prismatic jewel eyeshadow with light-reflecting pigments that give eyes a multidimensional, light reflecting sparkle!

Stila Plumping Lip Glaze $24
A new Lip Glaze formula with a tiny tingle that gently plumps and hydrates and features Features 1.0% MAXI-LIP which is a plumping complex to plump lips from the inside out.

Stila Trifecta Metallica Lip, Eye & Cheek Stick $26
A creamy, lightweight shimmering stick with a metallic finish that can be used on lips, cheeks, or eyes.

Stila Semi-Gloss Lip & Eye Paint $24
A pigmented lip and eye gloss that provides vivid, shiny color to lips and eyes!

Stila One Step Correct Kitten Skin Tone Correcting & Brightening Primer $36
Stila’s popular One Step Correct is now swirled with Kitten! This primer acts to even out skin tone while brightening and smoothing and adds a touch of Kitten to highlighter your complexion as it preps for makeup!

Stila One Step Correct Eye Correcting & Brightening Serum $38
A triple-swirled primer with a peach tone to prime, erases dark circles, brightens and hydrates the delicate eye area.

I’ll definitely be trying some of these new items! The eye serum, the metallic lip and eye pencils, and a few other items caught my eye!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. I want to try a few items esp. the single eyeshadow (since it’s Kitten) and the eye serum. I’m excited to see your thoughts, though.

Lots of multipurpose here. Can’t help but wonder if this stuff really is eye, lip, cheek safe….and works well on all (skintones and parts of face.) Kitten is the Orgasm of Stila. Just remembered lending a Stila kitten kit to a woman here at this day job, and then she disappeared. Seriously. She had been admitted to a psych hospital. I never asked, nor expected, nor repurchased anything Kitten. Bringing on the fall stuff makes me want to see lines IRL. Not sure that I feel safe enough, what with Kemp et al making the safety precautions a matter of personal opinion and decision. I quit my night job over just that. I’d have to quit the state.

Haven’t paid attention to Stila in years, but these have gotten my attention, especially the Lip Glaze, primer & eye serum.

I’m a hit and miss with Stila! Some items I love, some not so much but I def am taking notice of this Fall launch!

I thought the lip glazes had a plumping formula back in the early 2000s? I remember having one with a minty sort of numbing effect, but I don’t think it was actually plumping lol.

I was really interested in that eye serum…. until I saw the price. Ouch!

United States: Unrest due to a long history of racism reaching a fever pitch
Stila: It’s a fine time to release a collection with a racially insensitive title!
    Come on, Stila. 🙁

    • Isabella Muse

You’re educating me today as I always thought that gypsy was a word that was racially insensitive but I did not know Bohemian was as well. I obviously have to go educate myself further on this. I apologize for posting without realizing that.

Oh, you’re fine! Most people do not know and I do not fault you– I’ve been coming to your blog since like 2009 and I’ve always known you to be pro-inclusivity. 🙂

I hold Stila accountable, though– they should be researching these things!

this explains a lot because the promo images on individual products are models but when you open the page they have a darker skinned stila girl graphic art representing the collection. I thought that was a little odd now I know why. I guess that’s their weak attempt to correct their mistake. :-/ Thanks for telling me this because I honestly didn’t realize the word was offensive!

As a whole, this collection is so pretty and so very classic. Nothing too crazy, but nothing too boring as well. I like it and will definitely pick up a couple of items. I really like the look in the promo pic, though maybe it’s the butterfly that’s caught my eye because I love everything butterflies. Haha!
