It’s Been 8 Months and 15 Days Since That Last Ulta 20% Off

When was the last time we got an Ulta 20% off? I think it’s been around 8 months now right? Was it early December or late November that we got that last one? Hey Ulta…hi! What’s up? I know you’ve been busy with the whole Ulta slash Target thing but what’s up with our coupons lately? Back in 2019 you were so generous with those 20% off coupons but lately we only get those $3.50 off bones you toss us.

Do we have to wait until Fall for the next 20% Off? Can’t we have one for the Summer. PLEASE!!!!!!!!! PRETTY DAMN PLEASE! With a cherry on top! I’ll be a good girl and won’t ask for anything else until the Holidays…

In all seriousness, the 20% coupons have sort of dried up on Ulta’s end lately and I’m curious why that is. I imagine we’ll see one in Fall but I even have doubts about that and think it’ll probably be closer to the Holidays because as you may recall last year we waited and waited and waited and we didn’t get one in time for Fall 2021 releases.

It’s pretty interesting we’re seeing more 20% off deals at Sephora lately!

A lot of the sales have been repetitive too! I know the last 21 Days of Beauty Event really was very unexciting!

I guess we wait now and see when that 20% off rolls in.

    I thought we’d see one by now, and so far, nada. So I’m guessing it’s going to be some random date when it just suddenly pops up. And I’d sure like to see one soon – I have some things i’d sorta like to get, but am too cheap to spend full price on! Nuthin’ exciting, but still would love to see a coupon!

    I THINK they do one every August, so I really hope we get one by then! I finally caved and cashed in $250 worth of points because there was enough stuff that I needed that I couldn’t wait for a coupon any longer.

      They normally do but last year nada! I hope this year we get one!!!!!!!!!!! I have about $150 at the moment! EEP!

    They used to do the 10x points every August but changed it to September in 2020. I was very salty over that because August is my birthday month and I’d get 2x points on top of the 10x points. As for the 20% off coupon, I think they will make us gag for it until December like last year. I just don’t get it because brand websites are having discounts and sales left and right. Ulta is also getting stingy on point offers. Lately it’s been 3x points instead of 5x points. Come on! I’m Diamond and the point multiplier offers that I get that are useful are few and far between.

      That blows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I agree 100% I say at the least if we are lucky November but not before that! I wonder what changed!? maybe it was just a matter of getting customers to switch from Sephora!

        I think they just got stingy and are using the pandemic as an excuse, much like a corporation would use “cost cutting” as an excuse for pandemic layoffs. Haven’t they learned the concept that coupons bring MORE business not less? I guess they missed that part of the Selfridge series lol.

          They aren’t alone in the mentality. Bed, Bath and Beyond pretty much cut coupons too!

    Has it really been that long? Wow, time sure does fly lately! I don’t shop too often with 20% off, but there’s always something to pick up when there’s a sale.

    My best guess is that it has something to do with the freebie extension of platinum rewards status that they gave b/c of lockdown, I imagine that led to a pretty big increase in eligible members. Unfortunately, it’s rendered platinum status pretty worthless for me because I’m not here for buying lots of random stuff because it’s on flash sale, the key benefit of the rewards program for me was saving on stuff that I already use or might otherwise hesitate to try. It’s been super frustrating.

    I’ve shopped everywhere but Ulta for most of my beauty purchases this year. Ulta has been boring and underwhelming.

      I got the 20% off one item coupon too, but most of what I wanted was excluded so I said forget it.

      I’m saving up my points for a 20% off everything coupon — that way I can get about $150 worth of goodies free! Patience is hard.

    Hey Muse!! I agree with Cindy and Jen R. I don’t know what’s going on but meanwhile, everybody else are having sales left and right!!! Bobbi Brown is having a great one with 30% off. ULTA needs to quit playing games, SERIOUSLY!!!!!

    IDK what to think gang. Usually by now , I’m rounding the corner to hits Diamond status. And before that, I was platinum for years. This year, I have spent $ 197.00

    Fewer discounts, fewer good sales events, and if I’m being honest customer service at my local Ulta has dropped WAAAAAY off. I’m pretty fed up… I stopped shopping at Sephora for the most part because they seemed to stop caring about Rouge members. I was happy to shop at Ulta for things I could get there. But on my last in-store trip I was looking for a product listed as available and in stock on the app and couldn’t find it, and was overlooked by staff for half an hour before being sharply told “we probably just don’t have it yet” and it wasn’t even a new product. And on my last curbside order they gave me a creamy shape tape instead of regular and when I tried to return it they told me I had confirmed it was correct when I picked it up… yeah ok you give me 10 seconds to glance in the bag and those two concealers look IDENTICAL until you look up close… I’m just fed up with both of them at this point. Fed up with Ulta and fed up with Sephora and I am so sorry Muse I am venting all over your comments section but I can’t be the only person who feels this way?

      Ulta CS has really been notoriously bad lately. Did you read about my candle situation ugh! LOL vent away my dear girl vent away! They made me feel the same way about candles that were broken in shipment! Like I was a criminal for wanting a replacement for stuff that they didn’t pack correctly. And yea, those tarte tapes look spot on the same! It’s an easy mistake to make if you overlooked it! 🙁 JEEZ!

    Have you seen today’s email? It’s the bait-and-switch routine again: “GET 20% OFF!!! (if you accept our credit card).” Terrible PR, IMHO. Are they really so clueless that they don’t know how annoying that is?!!
