Smasbox Will Carry Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector and Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter

Starting in October you’ll be able to buy two beloved favorites from Becca on Smashbox’s website. Both Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector and Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter will be available on the Smashbox website moving forward. Becca released the news earlier today on their Instagram account however, the rumor about this has been circulating since early Summer.

There’s no word if further products will be created by Becca for Smashbox going forward or if new shades of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter will be released but I’m just thankful it’ll still be around. Apparently, this also means that Champagne Pop, a beloved favorite shade, will also be readily available going forward.

This is very interesting news because I feel like Smashbox isn’t doing so well themselves but I guess they are doing far better than Becca since Estee Lauder kept them on. It’s odd thinking about Becca being carried at Smashbox and a lot of questions are circulating at the moment addressing potential formula changes and perhaps new packaging. Will Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter come in boxes labeled Smashbox or will the formula retain the Becca brand name. I highly doubt the name will remain the same but we’ll have to wait and see how the launch goes.

I’m not a highlighter fangirl as you know but Becca’s have always been an exception to the rule and I’m happy I’ll be able to get them going forward. I do worry that the formula will change though! Estee Lauder has a real knack for ruining formula as well know.

I do have some doubt they’ll be further products carried from the original Becca Collection but at the least, I hope we’ll see new seasonal shades of the highlighter.

Are you excited about this news?

So – did Smashbox buy Becca, or is it just some weird arrangement that they’ll carry these few Becca items? this seems like a really strange arrangement to me…

Wish smashbox was doing better; like it was 15 years ago or so, when it was all the rage! They still make some really nice products, like the smaller cover shot palettes they came out iwth a few years back. I have several of those, and am kicking around getting the golden hour one on sale…

I’d be happier if they would also carry the undereye brightening powder. But it’s good to know the concealer will still be there.

That’s good news but I need them to bring back that purple primer and the radiant loose powder. Those were longtime staples for me and I haven’t found anything that compares 🙁

I hope they carry the Hydra set powder. It’s been my HG for years. I’ve hoarded six or seven, but it’s better when it’s new.

This is such interesting news. Ive never seen this kind of cross over selling before. Theyre not even brands Id consider having the same customer profile. Giving it less than a year. Not because its not a beautiful product but because the market is beyond saturated with this category.

Ive really never like anything from Smashbox. I do have a Champagne Pop mini but I only got it because of the hype and honestly, I feel like highlighters are pretty common now that it isnt that unique?

Good one/classic to start with. It does not make sense not to take on the HL as well. Idk how this works, business-wise or if there is any precedent for this.

Holy Baloney, I knew I somehow missed this post when I just found out today that Becca will be laid to rest. I honestly thought it was fake news til I found your post; since I knew it’d be something you wouldn’t miss posting about.

I really enjoyed Becca’s concealer and liquid highlighter. A shame only 2 product lines will survive. This is a small victory. :/
