The One Eye Cream That’s Expensive Even On Sale That I’m Still Recommending Like It’s My Career

Hi, there I’m not only the president of the dry eyes club but also, a member! My eyes look hecka tired all day, every day and I’m always looking for the best concealers and eye creams to make me look more awake and refreshed. I’ve come across A LOT OF AWESOME eye creams many of which are still in my current skincare rotation but I cannot deny the one reach for the most often lately is the Hourglass Equilibrium Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm. This stuff is pure magic! It’s especially amazing at softening finer lines caused by dryness. I spent $95 on it when it first came out and since that time I’ve replaced it once. A little goes a long way so it’ll last you quite a while.

No question, I love it. It’s some kind of wonderful for my dry eyes. Is it going to remove your fine lines forever? No. Is it going to soften them up? Yes! Is it going to make your concealer look airbrushed? HELLS YES!

The texture is a soft, vaseline-like consistency that applies and blends out easily. I use a very small amount in the AM but at night I’ll be a bit more generous. This softens lines like nobody’s business and creates a truly well-hydrated surface for even the driest of concealers. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have drier eyes but for anyone who does suffer from finer lines and dryness, this will be your very best friend!

I’m like a broken record with this one but considering the Sephora Holiday Savings Event is starting this Friday now is a good time to snag it at 20% off if you’re a Rouge Member! It’ll save you around $16 bucks if you are Rouge which brings this down to $66 which ouch, is still a lot but def worth it in my opinion!

Let me know if you’ve used this balm or play on grabbing it!

You’ve made me very curious to give this a try but that price tag is shocking! Lol. I have dry under eyes too so I was wondering what’s your favorite eye cream?

    • Isabella Muse

This is totally a fav of mine, Youth the people dream berry, and heimish marine are my top three 😀

      • Tamiko

Thanks! Youth to The People Superberry Dream Eye Cream is my favorite although it’s for night but I used it during the day and loved it. I will give the Hourglass a try during the Sephora sale.

        • Isabella Muse

YESSSSSSSSS! It’s awesome right?! Freaking one of the best hydrating eye creams ever 😀 The Hourglass is def a keeper! I know it’s $$ but worth it IMHO! If you try it let me know! I really would love to hear what you think!

  • Kimkats

Ok, you talked me into it, tho I think I’ll get the set. But now that I’m a mere mortal again(I.e. just a BI) it’ll only get me 10% off, but that’s better than nothing!

Is the Equilibrium line a Sephora exclusive? I didn’t see it on ulta….

    • Isabella Muse

LOL mere mortal had me cracking up! I’m nearing meer moral status myself 😀 Not on Ulta but Hourglass does carry it and Nordstrom!

  • LORI PEASE

You can get a smaller version of this in a kit with other Hourglass goodies for $82 before the sale discount

Ok! I was wary of the price but since it was 20% off during the sale I did it. I have really dry under eyes and allergies so my eyes water throughout the day. Any concealer looks wretched so I’ve been looking for something to address the dry patches. I’ve used this almost a week and let me say it’s legit! You were right, a small amount goes a long way so I feel better about the price. The texture of my under eyes look so much better. Thank you for the recommendation.

    • Isabella Muse

oh my god this makes me so happy! I’m glad it worked for you! I sincerely love it and can’t say enough good things about it. I’m glad it was a win for you! ;-D Enjoy!

I got this and the cleanser in a trial size kit and they are both amazeballs! Omg it is soooo moisturizing- I parcel it out when I feel really dry. Now that I’m retired I kinda have to watch my Pennie’s a bit more, but DAYUM it’s good stuff!

  • Dee

I want to try but the reviews from people with sensitive eyes are giving me pause.

    • Isabella Muse

oh no! sorry 🙁 I actually don’t have sensitive eyes and I didn’t have any issues as there was no fragrance or anything! Surprised about there being issues 🙁 maybe you can get a small sample at Sephora?

  • Linda W

Thank you, Muse. I purchased my second little pot last spring after buying originally based on your recommendation. Best. Eye Cream. Ever. Worth the price, especially with Rouge discount.

    • Isabella Muse

OMGGGG YESSS! I love hearing feedback like this! It’s awesome right? I’m on my third round of it (got the last one Spring too during an Hourglass sale I think it was) and totally worth it. The discount really helps too as I don’t feel as guilty splurging haha!

I feel you on expensive eye cream! My ride or die for the past year is Caudalie Premier Cru
Anti-Aging Eye Cream for Fine Lines and Wrinkles! I initially sampled it and I can tell you, nothing else preps my eyes for concealer! Nothing budges or creases and concealer stays set for 8 hours +! Fortunately, I only use this magical concoction in the morning before makeup, so a tube lasts a year. I love it and cannot live without it! <3

I gotta admit an good, solid eye cream is worth the spurge every single time for me. I appreciate now more than ever as I get older! I feel like it’s an item that will make or break how good your eye makeup looks!
