MAC Studio Sculpt Lash Review
MAC Studio Sculpt Lash ($16) is a new mascara that MAC recently launched for the Spring 2014 season. What sets MAC Studio Sculpt Lash Mascara apart from regular mascara is its divided comb bristled applicator. It’s split down the sides and features “teeth” on each side which offers a precise way to pull lashes upwards and out producing thickness according to MAC as well as fullness.
Take a look!
MAC Studio Sculpt Lash’s unique applicator definitely sets it apart in a sea of mascara. This has tiny teeth which act as a lash comb of sorts to pull lashes outward. The formula is weightless and doesn’t leave lashes sticky, stiff, or crunchy.
The tiny teeth and the thin applicator pull lashes forward nicely and produce very night length with a natural, weightless finish. I’d go so far as to call the effects fluttery. It looks like I’m not even wearing mascara on my lashes at all yet the nice bit of curl and length the formula adds does produce a natural flutter to my lashes.
On the down side it isn’t enough for me…I desire more volume and drama. The length is nice but it also seems to thin out and take away from the fullness of my lashes. In this case I think it makes a better prime to add length and to be followed up with another mascara to add more volume and drama.
If you’re fine with natural, lighter looking lashes I think MAC Studio Sculpt Lash is an excellent formula. It adds length but no real drama of fullness to lashes creating the backdrop for a perfectly natural lash look. However, if you like a fuller lash look with more boldness to your lashes it could be slightly disappointing!
It’s available now on MAC counters or online at Nordstrom.com.
