MAC Rich Experience Pro Longwear Eyeliner Review & Swatches
MAC Rich Experience Pro Longwear Eyeliner is one of two permanent shades of Pro Longwear Eyeliner that are launching with the MAC Proenza Schouler Collection.
If you like the Rich Experience shade might I suggest saving yourself a little money and getting it from the permanent collection as MAC is charging a bit more for the limited edition Proenza Schouler packaging.
MAC Rich Experience Pro Longwear Eyeliner
MAC Rich Experience Pro Longwear Eyeliner is an uneventful shade of creamy brown satin. As I mentioned above the shade is a permanent color that’s easy to grab up any time you like at MAC for $19.50 versus $21.00 for the special edition Proenza Schouler packaging that features an ombre green design. I’m not particularly excited about the packaging for any of the Proenza Schouler Collection so if you aren’t either you can save a buck or two on this since the shade is merely a basic brown that you can snag from the perm collection or just skip it entirely as its rather unremarkable in formula and packaging.
MAC claims their Pro Longwear Eyeliners have 12 hours of wear with a creamy formula. Personally I get good wear from them until I take them off on my drier eyes so they don’t smudge or smear during the wear time although they wear worst in humidity or warmer weather on my eyes so I see a bit of smearing if I’m wearing on my lower lash in the Summer months.

I don’t really love the formula. I’ve tried way creamier formulas than this. These feel more like a waxy gel. They kinda drag a bit during application as well and I always feel the need to go over them for the best intensity.
Typically I don’t really rant MAC eyeliners as a majority of them are excellent but Pro Longwear Eyeliner isn’t really a fav of mine. I dislike the formula and I hate it even more they decided it was ok to offer a permanent shade at a higher price due to some special edition packaging.
Meh on this one.
Sorry MAC.
