About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m stopping myself from taking advantage of this great deal. They have had really great promotions the last year and that makes me worried they are struggling.

On another note, have you seen one of the new TikTok makeup hacks is using the Moisture Surge Eye Concentrate as a concealer primer? I had gotten the two pack last month, so I need to break one of those out and give it a try.

I do that 🙂 I typically put it on first, allow it to dry a little, apply eye cream on top, and it makes for a smooth base for concealer 😀

That’s how I would do it too! But the TikTok technique is using it in the middle of your makeup routine oddly enough. It is:
        1. Do your normal skincare routine with eye cream
        2. Do your foundation avoiding the eyes
        3. Spray your face with a setting spray that contains hyaluronic acid
        4. Apply the concentrate and pat it in with a sponge
        5. Let it dry for a couple minutes so it’s no longer wet but still tacky
        6. Apply your concealer

I was even watching a review of the new Shape Tape formula and she used pretty much that same routine without the setting spray and patting it in with a sponge. Like you, I would apply an eye serum under my eye cream, so this technique is interesting.
