That One Concealer Everyone is Raving About Is On Sale

Rose Inc Softlight Clean Dewy Hydrating Concealer ($24 after 20% Off at Sephora using code GIFTEASY) is the concealer that’s on everyone’s lips lately. I keep reading so many good things about this little concealer that I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and purchase it. I was TEMPTED during Black Friday/Cyber Monday to snag it because Rose Inc did have their own discount going on but I’m glad I waited as Sephora’s returns are much easier should I not like it or if I choose the wrong color match.

Starting this Friday, EVERYONE can take 20% off their total Sephora.com ordering with code GIFTEASY. So, why not grab this I thought?

It’s medium coverage with a squalane-infused formula. Squalane is hydrating and provides excellent moisture and as my eyes are drier that sounds perfect. Apparently, the coverage is quite buildable and looks natural.

I really am a diehard for Tarte Shape Tape and I haven’t quite found a formula as good but I love trying new concealers as I’m a junkie for them! Since I’m curious about this brand I thought I’d pick up the Number 1 Concealer Brush as well during the sale and the interesting Number 2 Blush Brush that has an interesting slanted head to fit the cheek contour area.

Does anyone have good stories to tell about Rose Inc or the concealer?

I’d love to hear!

Ok, I know I’m in the minority here since all I use for under eye concealer is MAC’s lightboost in yellow, but I did try this at Sephora because I heard there was a very fair neutral/olive-ish colour that might work as a face concealer/foundation if needed. The YouTuber I saw it from uses it on her whole face, which is crazy to me. She said it was incredibly pigmented but sheers our really well. It felt not super hydrating to me and was kind of dry when I swiped it on my hand, but the sample probably isn’t a good indicator of the formula because it’s been opened too many times. Or maybe it’s that I’m used to ultra creamy foundations or super thin sheer formulas that aren’t so pigmented. I honestly have no idea what to do with foundations/concealers if they’re too pigmented. LOL!

BUT…I think I’ll pick up a full sized tube anyway because it looked so great on that YouTuber that I’m convinced it’ll work on me. Plus, Sephora has a good return policy, so nothing to lose.

P.S. How have you been? I know I’ve been missing from the sphere lately, but that’s because I’ve been spending my time catifying my home…all my purchases were pretty much for the cats–yes, you read correctly, cats, with a plural. I have two! Crazy! Save me Muse!
