Bath & Body Works Moxy A Brand of Skincare With It’s Own Trademark Ingredients

Bath & Body Works Moxy Skincare, Haircare and Vitamins are a new “Whole Body Wellness Collection” that is now available online. The collection not only features assorted skin and haircare but also, a line of Dietary Supplement Gummies that support immunity, sleep wellness, hair, and more.
The Bath & Body Works Moxy Collection was developed to reduce plastic and packaging plus the formulas that have been tested by dermatologists, are vegan or vegetarian, have never been tested on animals and that say “no” to parabens, artificial dyes, phthalates, gluten, talc, and mineral oil as per Bath and Body Works Website. Some items offer refills to reduce waste. They are marketing the line as an all-inclusive range of products for all shapes, all skin tones, all hair types, and all genders.

The skincare collection features facial moisturizers, face scrubs, face masks, and cleansers for oily, dry, and sensitive skin. The haircare collection features shampoo, conditioner, and hair masks for straight, curly, and wavy hair.
I can honestly say as addicted as I am to skincare this fails to capture my attention. Who knows maybe it’ll be outstanding but there are so many skincare brands at the moment I just don’t see anything here that really stands out as something I absolutely must have. They’re really just covering the very basic of formulas with this launch. Worst they are making up their own trademark ingredients like Soap & Glory. For example, the Moxy ALL SKIN Face Moisturizer contains: PEELMOIST™ molecular film improves moisturization with BRIGHLETTE™ ingredient which helps improve skin tone. Unfortunately, there are absolutely no ingredients listed on the website to explain more about what Pealmoist and Brightlette really mean in more understandable skincare terms. So, is Brightlette another word for Vitamin C?!?!?! We’ll never know without a complete ingredient list. Worst is the online exclusivity. These products are not coming to stores but online only from my understanding. Without a way to see the ingredients you’re really going in for a blindbuy!

I think they really hurt themselves by making this so basic. I do think a lot of beauty lovers have scaled back considerably and enjoying a more simple makeup and skincare life as of late. That could be due to the rising costs of beauty or it could be simply because we are exhausted and feel like we have too much of the same thing. We also may feel like basic and simple is better. In this case though, the lack of variety may hurt them instead of working in their favor. The only thing I can think of is diehard Bath and Body Works fans (and there are plenty) might really love the idea of this. Throw in some good sales and you may just have a successful launch.
I wonder if Victoria’s Secret will follow along with this and start doing their own skincare as well considering both are the same family of brands!
