Why Does Tarte Release the Same Pre-Spring 2023 BullSh*t Year After Year

I’ve come across so many conflicting Tarte articles. Some say they are doing amazingly well and have a 300% increase in sales whereas others describe how Kose is trying hard to recoup losses from the pandemic. Thankfully, one thing is dependable and that would be the Tarte Spring 2023 early releases. You can ALWAYS, ALWAYS count on Tarte to get you in the mood for Spring with some bullsh1t launch of products that I fail to understand why they bothered with. But here’s the interesting thing….
IT SELLS! It sells so well you rarely see it going on sale. Sure, Tarte has a Friends and Family Sale every five minutes of the day but they never ever launch a collection and proceed to heavily discount it within a few weeks the way Urban Decay or Too Faced does. Interesting right?
So, the moral of this story is that I’m a grumpy old lady when it comes to all these repetitive releases but people must like them as Tarte continues doing them year in and year out.
What are Tarte’s early Spring 2023 releases?
It’s the normal mini palette. Groan. Yawn. Snore. This year, it’s the Tarte Tartelette Sparkle Amazonian Clay Palette that contains six shades for $25. The shades, of course, look like every single shade I ever purchased from Tarte and also, appear to be a rerun of the shades in the new Tartelette Energy Amazonian Clay Palette which is till on my sh1T I don’t need list. Sometimes you gotta be an adult and make the executive decision to not buy this stuff. And I’m throwing it out there that Sparkle and Energy aren’t coming home with me. And I may snap at the first influencer that says I need it.
Shades include:
- Postive (metallic light rose gold)
- Energized (metallic golden amber)
- Dynamic (matte warm tan)
- Magnetic (matte rosy mauve)
- Creativity (metallic raspberry)
- Power (matte maroon)
Along with the eyeshadow, palette release is a new Shape Tape Glow Bar. We’re using Shape Tape in the name of products far to often guys! We need to let up on that. Just because it says Shape Tape doesn’t mean we’re gonna be enticed to purchase it. Again, this is a fairly standard release for Tarte as they ALWAYS release a highlighter as an early Spring 2023 launch.

This comes in with three shades that include:
- Champagne Blur (smooth & soften)
- Bronze glow (sculpt & define_
- Sunlit (illuminate high points of face)
And finally, there’s a new Amazonian Clay Skintuitive Blush in Energy. We already have a shade called Bloom but Tarte felt the need to re-release it in a new shade that “adapts to your pH levels”.

What say you about Tarte Spring 2023?
