The E.L.F. Holy Hydration! Collection has yet a new item that launched a few short weeks ago! The new Holy Hydration! E.l.F. Off Makeup Remover is a bi-phase makeup eye makeup remover that contains a hydration mix of hyaluronic acid and squalane. I am avid user of Lancome Bi-Facil and I love it but I’m always searching out cheaper options because I use eye makeup remover daily and I run through it pretty fast. Also, between you and I, I think Lancome changed the formula on Bi-Facil. I noticed the last few bottles I purchased have been struggling removing my waterproof mascara.

Holy Hydration! E.L.F. Off Makeup Remover isn’t technically marketed as an eye makeup remover. It can be used on lips, eyes, or face! I personally don’t like it on my face as the bi-phase formula feels a bit greasy and weird. I ended up using it on my eyes only and will continue to do so until I run out. The bottle is 4.3 oz in size and a very affordable $7 but sadly, I probably won’t re-purchase.

This formula is lightweight and feels water-like. It didn’t leave much of a residue behind on my face when I used it there but it does have the streaky bi-phase feel when using it in this area. It has no fragrance and didn’t sting when I used it on my eyes. It does a great job removing long-wearing lipstick, did a fairly nice job removing foundation and makeup from my face however, I did have to go over the area a few times before it completely removed everything! If you like micellar water I’d liken it to that level of clean. I personally always like doing a full cleanse of my face with an oil or balm followed by a gentle cleanser but for those in a hurry this will get a majority of makeup off easily. It does struggle with waterproof mascara and bolder eyeshadows. I had to pass over my eyes a few times to get it to break down my waterproof mascara. It struggled a bit in that area.

Holy Hydration! E.l.F. Off Makeup Remover is a nice little affordable eye makeup remover but I likely won’t purchase it again. I’m interested in this exclusively as an eye makeup remover and it didn’t quite do the job in that area for me sadly. If you’re using it as an all over makeup remover you might enjoy it.

Holy Hydration! E.l.F. Off Makeup Remover Review is available now. Tried it? Do share!

I thought it me who was having problems with the Bi-Facil. I have had trouble getting my Monsieur Big mascara off at night. I thought I wasn’t leaving it on long enough so I made sure to hold it on my eye for a minute. Same result: I had mascara on my lashes still. Ugh! I am glad to know it wasn’t me.

It’s been like this for me since the pandemic. It’s def not you! Something changed, not sure what but it isn’t removing eye makeup the way it did and once I run out of my current stash I may be searching for a new holy grail! Not sure what happened but they def changed the formula!
