You Don’t Even Have to Be Going Back to School to Enjoy These Fall Beauty Picks

Confession time. I love the Back to School season. Remember the commercial with the dad dancing around the aisles of Staples while Andy Williams sang, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” in the background? Well, I don’t have kids but I’m pretty much that dad at Target, Staples, and anywhere else they have back-to-school supplies, storage, makeup, and snackies. I love everything about Back to School! The crayons, the markers (I may have a very slight addiction in this area), the folders, the new snacks that launch, the storage oh god the storage (mini orgasm!), and of course, sometimes we get a makeup item or two at the drugstore for the season!

Here a few Fall beauty picks, storage options, and even snacks to celebrate the back to school season even if you aren’t going back to school!

We have a large window in our master bathroom and there isn’t anything like listening to the Fall rain, wind, or even the leaves hit the window especially when I’m taking a bath or even a shower in the early morning. I get up around 4:45ish and in the Fall you’ll get a bit of a wind and the leaves will just hit the window and make that soft, swirly sound. It’s so soothing! That’s why having a Fall shower gel is a must! You gotta add to that vibe and aesthetic am I right?

OGX Smoothing + Coconut Coffee Exfoliating Body Scrub
Ene of my favs for Fall. It’s a really fun mocha coffee with coconut scent (Get the Shampoo and Conditioner too! So good!) that’s warm and yummy! Perfect gourmand fun for your shower! Also, keeps your legs and arms super smooth!

Tree Hut Pumpkin Spice Latte Body Wash
Unfortunately, I may need a case of this. What are the chances they’ll leave this around forever? I really don’t think I wanna wait until next year to get a bottle (if they bring it back that is). This is the perfect pumpkin spice latte scent! They captured it brilliantly! LOVE!

I did mention my marker problem right? I hate this time of the year because all these cool pens, pencils, markers, and crayons come out and I’m sitting around contemplating buying a cool box of crayons like I’m actually going to use them! I work in an environment where black ink sits on the Iron Throne. But eh, I do have a set of these Paper Mate Flair Candy Pop Pens in my desk just in case I ever need to write a love letter to my crush in pretty pastels.

I happen to be one of those granola wannabes that thinks Quaker Rice Crisps are healthy. They aren’t but they aren’t completely bad either (better than eating a bag of chips!). The Apple Cinnamon ones are my go to but I normally buy the cheap as chips case off amazon.com ($14.95) that includes Apple Cinnamon, Caramel, and Chocolate (30 pack) for $15 bucks. They taste great and are a nice little pick me up snackie if you tend to skip breakfast or lunch like I’ve been known to do.

Got a bottle of foundation you love and adore? Want it for touch ups but can’t really travel with it? Snatch up one of these empty BB Cushion Compacts! $9 bucks gets you an empty compact case, a cushion, and a puff for application. Simply remove the cushion, pour your foundation into the empty compact, replace the cushion, and pretty down on it with the puff for easy application of your fav foundation or even for touchups!

I always thought it would be cool if Calgon had gourmand fragrance mists. But wait they do! Calgon Fragrance Body Mist in Marshmallow reminds me of the 80s for some reason but it’s so good. It not a spot on white marshmallow scent but more a warmer colored marshmallow scent. Ya know how the colored marshmallows taste a bit more sugary and smell a bit more fluffy? This captures that warm gourmand of those marshmallows! Perfect Fall scent!

I have this new obsession with using my Stila Glitter Glow Eyeshadows on top of powder eyeshadow. I’ll do my look with a powder eyeshadow and I’ll pat on a little of the sparkly cream. Sadly, Stila hasn’t released any new shades in a whole but I sort of found a cheapy replacement in Colorgram Milk Bling Shadow! These aren’t a dupe for Stila’s formula but they are super sparkly! They have a bit less pigment than Stila and look best over powder in my opinion but they do bring your look into the next dimension! So sparkly and gorgeous!

You’re either going to love this or think I’m insane for recommending it. I purchased this two pack of Battery Operated Light Bulbs with remote during prime day and absolutely love them! I had a lamp I wanted to use near a window seat but had no plug in that area and really didn’t want to go to the trouble of running a wire. This took care of it! You just screw it as a normal lightbulb and use the remote to turn it on and off. It’s bulbs are battery operated! You can even set them on a timer. I feel like these would be great for dorm rooms if you have kids headed back to school!

Got $12 bucks? Pick up this Clear Plastic Drawer Organizer Set! Totally an awesome pick up! These fit so perfectly in a drawer and make organizing make easy! You get 14 different sized trays and I felt the $12 price tag was a bargain for the set! They’re great for desk organizing too!

Brightroom 3 Tier Metal Utility Cart is absolutely awesome. This is easy to put together, very, very sturdy, and great for holding a bunch of Bath and Body Works Mists or Body Lotions! I got two of them to organize my Bath and Body Works stuff! They hold a TON of mists! They’re also available in a few different colors!

What are some of your back to school picks? Do share ’em!
