Is Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum The Cozy, Fluffy Vanilla of Our Dreams?

Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum (Starting at $38) is a new warm, spicy gourmand with three key vanilla notes of Vanilla Infusion, Vanilla Caviar, and Vanilla Absolute. This unique combination of vanillas makes this a sweet and beautiful gourmand as per reviews I’m reading.
However, there’s a but in here. Isn’t there always?
It has lavender. Damn! Vanilla is having such a moment in the fragrance world lately! I sort of blame Kayali Vanilla 28 for this movement. Kayali’s vanilla went viral and ever after that it seems like so many frag-heads are trying to snatch up any and all vanilla fragrances they can find. But damn why you gotta mess up what sounds to be a perfect gourmand with lavender? I hate lavender!
- Top: Vanilla Infusion and Lavender
- Heart: Vanilla Caviar
- Base: Vanilla Absolute
The good news is that many reviewers are saying you can’t really smell that lavender at all! However, this does have a woodiness combined with the sweetness of the vanilla and you might just want to grab up some By Rosie Jane Dulce if that’s the case as that’s a wonderful woodsy gourmand that’s a bit cheaper than grabbing a bottle of Goddess!
Sadly, I’m still intrigued and I really want to smell this! I think I’ll go with a travel spray first and see how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed it’s all fluffy white cake cupcake with buttercream frosting goodness on my skin!
Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum is available now. Will you be trying it?
