Are we or aren’t we over the need to collect all the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Hydrating Treatment shades available? I’m not sure but I do know the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Hydrating Treatment Beach Please, Aurora Red, and Sunset Rose are some very nice Summer 2024 shades. The could tempt me into becoming a collector again. So yeah, as much as I love a good Fresh Sugar Lip Balm moment I think my last shade purchase was Fresh Sugar Coral Tinted Lip Treatment back in 2012. It’s been a while….

These were very much the rage in the early 2000s and I was absolutely part of the collect them all group of fan girlies and guys that loved them. I can’t really tell you why I stopped buying and using this formula. The formula never changed and I still loved the pretty hint of tint it gave my lips but I guess my tastes just evolved and I simply wasn’t into them anymore. The Summer 2024 shades are tempting and pretty but not sure I need them!

Fresh added three new shades to their line up all of which are limited-edition and $26 each. They come in new ombre barrel as well which sets them apart from the permanent collection. Shades include:

  • Sunset Rose (soft pink)
  • Aurora Red (earthy red)
  • Beach Peach (warm peach)

If I had to choose Beach Please looks the prettiest of the bunch but Aurora Red is actually really gorgeous as well and would really pop on sunkissed skin! These all have the sugar cane base of the original with cranberry and grapeseed oil for moisture and a buttery, balmy texture that provides sheer color to lips! I think the new shades are very pretty but I’ll be admiring from afar as I have one too many lip balms in my makeup bag at the moment and don’t really need more!

But if you’re into these the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Hydrating Treatment Summer 2024 shades are available now!

The first time I went into a Fresh boutique, the SA acted like I was some kind of moron because I tried to pull the cap off the lip balm. I didn’t know that it had to be unscrewed, and she was incredibly patronizing as she demonstrated. That gave me a poor first impression of the brand. I do like the feel and some of the colors, but I don’t think it’s worth the prices. They’re just another LVMH subsidiary.

Don’t let that make you hate a brand. Truly, SAs can be the very worst be it at Fresh or anywhere really. I’ve gotten some real attitudes from SAs at Nordys, Macy’s, even at Sephora. I’d probably have nowhere to shop if I boycotted these places because of the snotty SAs LOL! I’m so sorry that happened to you! That’s really a shame as they should helpful and not treat you like an idiot simply because you made a mistake with the cap 🙁
