Here’s Several Concealers You Don’t Need to Try
Ahh concealers! They come and go through my life at a rapid pace! Some stay, many go…! Some are amazing, some not so amazing! But I do so love trying different formulas. Someone in my comments mentioned being in concealer rehab and lord knows, sometimes I wonder if I need to be there too. I’ve found many formulas I love and really don’t need to explore anything further but I do so love the thrill of the chase!
If it’s any help at all here are several concealers you may be thinking about trying but really don’t have to because I already have and wasn’t thrilled!
Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Creaseless Precise Angles Concealer
The original Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Concealer was perfection! Seriously, a wonderful formula! Thin, yet creamy, hydrating, smooth application! A little sheer but all in all a great concealer for aging eyes. The new All Hours Creaseless Precise Angles Concealer not so much. It’s creamy yes but the shade range is a bit eh (I’m between shades and can’t get a good match) plus that “creaseless” promise is def not true. This creases horribly under my eyes. Sigh…! Please bring back the original!
e.l.f. Cosmetics Hydrating Camo Concealer
Not only does it smell like paint but the consistency reminds me of paint. This is thick, ghastly pale no matter which shade you go with, has a messy application, and is just awful. How this has such a following is beyond me as I think it’s awful!

NYX Pro Fix Stick Color Correcting Concealers
I saw a Tiktoker post how she brought like ten of these and I’m just sitting here wondering why I’m not loving it that hard? This literally feels like I’m applying plastic under my eyes. Yes, it is soft and creamy but it sort of applies streaky and ends up feel light I applied some sort of plastic under my eyes.
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer
Another eh concealer…! I always think of this as more of a facial concealer as it just doesn’t work great under eyes! I know people swear by it but it creases under my eyes and the color match just isn’t it for me. This one is a fav in the luxury beauty world but it’s a skip for me!
Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Creamy Concealer
I brought into the hype with this formula but I should have known better. It’s creamy yes, but I thought it felt drying under my eyes and did crease a fair bit. Meh!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
I know people love it but NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and I just never got along! It’s ok but not great! It’s creamy yes, feels hydrating, but it sheers out and doesn’t have as much pigment as I’d like.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Medium to Full Coverage Concealer
I WOULD love it if I got on with this as it’s so crazy pigmented and it does have a nice lightweight feel and it’s hydrating. But the shade range is wacky. The light medium shades too pale the darker ones too dark. I just can’t get a good shade match with this.
