Onyx Foaming & Hydrating Body Wash Shake Not The Droid You’re Looking For
I recently tried out the ONYX Hydrating Body Lotion & Serum Duo and absolutely loved it. It’s having a viral moment on Tiktok and for good reason it’s an interesting and moisturizing formula. Onyx def has some interesting formula and another is the Foaming & Hydrating Body Wash Shake which I purchased at the time I grabbed the body lotion!
But sadly, it isn’t the droid I was looking for…!
The popular and viral scent in the Onyx Collection is Coconut Bliss which I didn’t manage to find in the Body Lotion Serum but was available in the Foaming & Hydrating Body Wash Shake! I grabbed it up as the formula was intriguing. This is a dual-phase “shake” foaming body wash. It reminds me of Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup remove and can be activated with a simple shake of the bottle that takes it from oil and water to a rich foam once you pump it out of the bottle.
Unfortunately, I didn’t really like it. The foam is very light and didn’t produce a ton of lather which was disappointing. Another disappointing aspect was the fact it didn’t smell like coconut at all. It actually seemed like it was fragrance-free with a soap note at the background. I expected the formula to be hydrating due to the coconut oil but it wasn’t at all. It did rinse clean away without leaving a film behind.
You do get a rather big bottle for $7 bucks which is 16.2 oz but outside of that this was a meh purchase. I’ll maybe use it to shave with but even that isn’t a great use for it as the lather is rather weak. I thought that since the body lotion serum was so innovation the Body Shake would be just as interesting but sadly, it was a no.
If you’re interested in this one I’d say skip it and move on. It is a unique body wash but sadly, the formula is just meh!
