NYX Propel My Eyes Mascara Review
NYX Propel My Eyes Mascara has me wanting to say “Propel My Lashes” for some reason. I had two friends ask me what mascara I was wearing and I kept replying, “Propel My Lashes”. Way to mess up a name!
This is actually the first time I tried an NYX mascara as I can’t recall using one prior to this.
Let’s take a look at my first experience!
A lifting mascara to intensify lashes and bring them up and out!
The main purpose of the mascara is to offer lashes a lift not necessarily a curl but more of a lift upwards and outwards. It succeeds in doing just that with an hourglass design applicator which has a twisting design. To apply you’ll want to get as close to your lash line and possible and proceed to pull lashes up while twirling the mascara wand so it lifts lashes upwards and outwards. I already have very full lashes but for those with stubbier lashes you’ll probably enjoy this style applicator since it grasps lashes very well particularly smaller ones. The effect is longer, fuller lashes.
The formula isn’t as lightweight as I’d like and if I build up too much my lashes become a tad heavy and “crunchy”.
- Anyone with short, stubbier lashes that need to grasp lashes and pull them out or “propel” them.
- Anyone who wants to build up several layers of mascara (if you’re one for building up layer after layer of mascara you might want to be aware with this formula as it does make lashes stiff and “crunchy” if too much is used!
- Those with fuller lashes (I don’t think you’ll experience dramatic effects if you already have a full set of lashes).
I don’t love NYX Propel My Eyes Mascara but I don’t dislike it either. It does exactly what it promises but I think it would be most suited to those with shorter lashes plus such lashes would probably experience the most dramatic results. At $13 it’s not the cheapest budget mascara around but it might be worth the splurge for smaller, wimpier lashes.
Anyone try it?
