E.L.F. Studio Blush Giddy Gold Twinkle Pink Review & Swatches
Possibly the best $3 bucks (actually I got them 50% Off so the best $1.50) I’ve spent recently is on two of the newest shades of E.L.F. Studio Blush in Twinkle Pink and Giddy Gold.
Whoa!
What great little blushes particularly Twinkle Pink!
I’ve reviewed the E.L.F. Studio Blush in prior post and liked them very much so I was quite happy to indulge in a few new shades particularly because they had shimmer! W00t!
When I got my hands on Twinkle Pink I instantly thought it was an Orgasm or Super Orgasm dupe. It’s a light peachy pink creation with plenty of golden sparkle. Turns out is more of a light, lower calorie version of Super Orgasm. I absolutely adore the shade and felt like it wasn’t like anything I already own and that’s saying something considering the amount of blushes I own.

The shade kicks up a fair bit when you dip in with your brush so be aware that you don’t get it all over yourself. It has tons of fine pieces of golden glitter in the mix much like Super O which don’t necessarily blend out after application. I applied it inside and proceeded to go outside, look in my car mirror, and cringe because there was a good deal of sparkle on my face. Just use a little TLC during application and you can probably buff it out easily.
The shade is a tad chalky at first but the formula is silky smooth and blends dreamy. The shade wears easily since it’s something you can’t easily over do. It probably won’t work on darker skin tones but fairer to medium ones will love the soft shade of peachy pink it gives cheeks.
This is a must buy in my opinion particularly if you’re heavy handed. I also felt like it was a great shade for those who didn’t really love the way Orgasm looked on. This is a lighter, fresher, less peachy…it’s really quite a unique shade that’s very fresh and natural on cheeks.
Giddy Gold is an equally unique shade and thankfully has less shimmer than Twinkle Pink. The texture is smooth and velvety and blends easily on cheeks. The color is a light golden orange which comes across golden orange-y peach on my face. It’s also a very fresh shade that gives cheeks just the right hint of natural color.
Both colors proved excellent little beauty budget picks but I must say Twinkle Pink really stood out as a keeper. You NEED it. It’s a delightful shade that’s never over done and gives skin a natural, youthful glow.
