Garnier The Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee Review

Garnier The Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee is a new cleansing gel which contains vitamin C, and hydroxy acid to gently cleanse skin while brightening it up.
Having dull skin I was interested in checking this out to see how great it would be at easing dullness and brightening my complexion!
Take a look!
Garnier The Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee is affordable budget price of around $5.99-$6.99 depending where you buy it. This is a water based cleanser with a thin gel-like texture that lathers up when wet.
This has a bright, citrus-y scent and a formula which contains hydroxy acid (to exfoliate skin while washing), salicylic acid, and Vitamin C (for brightening skin and dark spots).
Most of these ingredients sound great in theory but I didn’t really notice much difference in my skin when using the cleanser. One thing I disliked was the addition of salicylic acid which tends to dry my skin out and give it a too tight feeling. Lucky enough in my entire time using the cleanser the ingredient didn’t strip my skin too much but it did leave it feeling tight after use.
I’ve been using this over a month now and I’m down to the last bit in the bottle and can’t really say my skin is any brighter or exfoliated after use. I’m still flaky (patchy cheeks, dryness around my nose and cheeks) and my dullness is unfortunately still sticking around like a bad penny.
The cleanser itself creates a nice, gentle lather that rinses easily. It removes basic makeup such as blush and BB Cream easily.
As a basic cleanser it performs quite nicely although is a little drying (or at least for me) but promises of a brighter look to skin, easing dullness, and exfoliating, well, that just didn’t work out so great for me.
I’ll stick to my Clean & Clear Brightening Cleanser which worked much better for me!
