Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder (Summer 2013) Review
Ok, if you’re indulging I wanna throw it out there that De-Slick in the Tube is awesome but Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder is a more travel worthy companion if you wanna touch up on the road.
De-Slick Mattifying Powder is an old friend but she’s been repromoted for Summer 2013 and hey, that’s cool beans because if you’ve never tried her now is a good time as any to discover her benefits.
Check it!
This comes in an epic translucent purple compact decked out with goth-y rose motif. The new compact actually feels like it has a little bit weight behind it compared to my older palette and the mirror seems larger but I could be utterly imaging things, its been known to happen. A few years ago my best friend Jai and I had project depot on one of these as I had used up the powder and wanted to slip in a powder that I use daily….unfortunately it was a disaster that doesn’t bare talking about with Jai having to have stitches in his thumb and me giggling in hysterical panic. Needless to say I owed that boy for ever after the event.
I admit when I told him Urban Decay was repromoting De-Slick Mattifying Powder with their Summer 2013 Collection he raised his brow and told me, “Don’t go rushing to use that $h1t up and expect me to depot it for you! Not happening sis!”
In fact, that was exactly what I was thinking but I lied and told him I would absolutely not endanger his young life again with my hijinks.
Damn.
So what is, what’s it do, why is so essential for Summer?
It’s a pale lavender yet transparent setting powder that sets makeup and basically soaks up excess shine and oil leaving your skin mattified thanks to oil-absorbing rice powder. De-Slick is incredibly lightweight and looks flawless on most all skin types even drier ones will find it has a soft focused finish that doesn’t accentuate pores or drier areas.
It also contains green tea extract to calm and soothe those with sensitive skin. It curbs my shine during the warmer Summer months for a few hours and prolongs my makeup wear so it isn’t sliding off my face in the heat.
Loves it back when it originally released and loves it still today!
It’s a great way to keep shine and oil at bay.
Just don’t kill yourself depotting it, can’t be responsible for any more lives here.
It’s available now at Sephora, Sephora.com, Ulta, Ulta.com, or www.urbandecay.com
