Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette Has Me Excited

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette ($75) has a new 12 pan eyeshadow palette launching on 09/20 at 2:30 PM GMT and it has me quite excited. Grouped into trios of three these shades give you options to create a Day Eye, Desk Eye, Date Eye, and Disco Eye look with nude, neutral, and smoky shades of color.

For the past few years Charlotte has brought us a few variations of her popular Instant Look in a Palette. It’s a refreshing change to see them doing a more traditional eyeshadow palette. It looks like a nice classic eye palette to create some easy, daily looks without a ton of no how. I always appreciate palettes like this because my skill level is next to zero when it comes to good eyeshadow looks, combining, and contrasting shades. This really takes a lot of the guess work out of doing an eye look.

The price tag is a bit high but Charlotte’s line has never been cheap and 99% of the time the quality is well worth the price you’re paying for it.

I’m adding this one to my wish list.

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette is available at nordstrom.com.

Makeup and Beauty Picks On Sale with Free Shipping at Macy’s

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Macy’s has 15% Off with Free Shipping all beauty and makeup picks using promo code VIP which makes for a good time to grab the latest Holiday Gift Sets and hell, it’s a good time to get some early Holiday shopping in as well.

I was talking to a friend a few days ago who had said she started Christmas Shopping already and honestly, so have I. I’d rather be stress-free when the Holiday finally arrives and nothing spells stress like the question of what you should gift your friends and family members. At least if I start now I can get some if not all of the shopping done and can just enjoy the Holidays a bit more when they do arrive.

Here are a few great picks from Macy’s that are on sale now worthy of a haul with free shipping!

Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

I purchased this during the Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda ($58) during the Sephora VIB Early Access Holiday 2017 Event which is a limited edition eyeshadow palette, deluxe Better Than Sex Mascara, Melted Matte long Wear Lipstick, and a year-round planner with stickers as well as faux leather agenda cover to hold everything in.

Too Faced Holiday releases haven’t been terribly great the last few year’s but I almost always pick up one or two sets to review on the blog. I’d probably forgo purchasing this for myself given the opportunity even though it has some raving reviews on Sephora’s site at the moment. Don’t be deceived though, because aside from the packaging this might be a safe skip.

Here’s why.

P.S. Did anyone see Mother this weekend? Did you enjoy it? I love going to the movies and I have a particular fondness for Indie and Foreign films. I was somewhat surprised that Mother was released in major theaters as I expected it to be more of an Indie film, it has that vibe but once you see it you’ll realize the budget far surpassed that of an Indie. I think everyone I went with and everyone that was in the theater when we left had a moment of WTF did I just watch. I’ve seen some wild and crazy films in my life (Hello Uncut version of A Serbian Film!) but none prepared me for Mother.

I think we all naturally head to the Internet and social media as soon as we watch an episode of our favorite TV show or a film. We want to see the reviews, we want to know what other people are thinking, and most importantly we are sometimes looking for answers to questions we have. Some questions that we felt were unanswered, some actor we didn’t know and want to know more about, what did people do before the Internet?!?!?!

Needless to say I spent two hours, TWO HOURS, reading reviews and a variety of posts on Mother and I still cannot figure out half of what I saw in that film. I went into it expecting it to play out like some weird Rosemary’s Baby remake and came out of it scratching my head and not being able to stop discussing it with the friends I went to see it with. I think it didn’t help that I went to watch it before reading reviews or spoilers which means I was completely oblivious to what I was getting into. And even after my google sesh I was still left with many, many unanswered questions.

The most important one?

What was the gorgeous eyeshadow Jennifer Lawrence was wearing on her eyes?!

No, but seriously, Mother was beyond trippy. I won’t ruin it for you but brace yourself. It’s an oddity that will leave you with many, many questions.

Some of which will never be answered.

Beware of comments below, there might be spoilers!
