Can Lipstick Have Both a Matte and Metallic Finish?

milani Amore Mattallics Lip Creme

Can liquid lipstick have both a matte and a metallic finish? Apparently that’s the case with the new Amore Mattallics Lip Crème!

Amore Mattallics Lip Creme ($8.99) is a new limited edition metallic matte liquid lip creme available in eight shade selections for Summer 2016. Let it be known that Milani Fierce Foil Brilliant Shine Lipgloss wasn’t the great formula in the world so I do question a matte metallic finish lipstick.

This could get messy…?

Amore Mattallics are actually a follow up to wildly popular Milani’s Amore Matte Lip Creme that the brand simply could not keep in stock on the original launch. This new version promises just as much pigment as the original but with a metallic matte finish.

They actually wear for up to 12 hours and require an oil-based cleanser to remove them.

This worries me.

I find metallic lip products tend to leave behind a good deal of gunky glitter at times so imagine wearing one for 12 hours? Hopefully Milani’s discovered the secrets to life, the universe, and everything with this formula so it’ll wear long without cracking and leaving a flaky, glittery mess on your lips!

I’m intrigued!

These are available now at milanicosmetics.com.

Give Your Mom the Gift of Farmacy Beauty (Or Introduce Yourself to the Brand!)

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

Farmacy Perennial Picks Skincare Discovery Kit13

Mother’s Day is upcoming this weekend and if your dear old mom is a skin care junkie she just might enjoy the Farmacy Perennial Picks Skincare Discovery Kit ($45).

This four piece set includes a selection of Farmacy Beauty skin care offerings to get your mom’s skin looking its best. Or, it’s ok to be greedy and get it for yourself!

This is a great way to introduce yourself to some of Farmacy’s offerings. I fell in love with the brand a few months ago when I tried out their Clear Bloom Makeup Glideaway Cleansing Oil and since that time I’ve been slowly working my way through their line. This four piece set is going to make it all the more easier to try more of their line (especially since my mom isn’t much of a beauty and skincare kind of girl! More for me! Weeeeee!).

Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil Review & Swatches

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil

Kiko Heatwave Lip Oil ($14) is a new, limited edition nourishing, shiny lip oil available in yummy coconut, vanilla, and grapefruit flavors that launched with the Kiko Lovegrove Collection for Summer 2016.

Lip oils are becoming increasingly popular at the moment aren’t they? Lancone’s new Juicy Shakers and Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment immediately come to mind but Clarins also has a formula that’s been around a while now. I do wonder if more brands will introduce more lip oils as we head deeper into Summer!
