Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Hydrating Treatment Summer 2024 Shades Are Here If You Aren’t Over this Formula Yet

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Are we or aren’t we over the need to collect all the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Hydrating Treatment shades available? I’m not sure but I do know the Fresh Sugar Lip Balm Hydrating Treatment Beach Please, Aurora Red, and Sunset Rose are some very nice Summer 2024 shades. The could tempt me into becoming a collector again. So yeah, as much as I love a good Fresh Sugar Lip Balm moment I think my last shade purchase was Fresh Sugar Coral Tinted Lip Treatment back in 2012. It’s been a while….

These were very much the rage in the early 2000s and I was absolutely part of the collect them all group of fan girlies and guys that loved them. I can’t really tell you why I stopped buying and using this formula. The formula never changed and I still loved the pretty hint of tint it gave my lips but I guess my tastes just evolved and I simply wasn’t into them anymore. The Summer 2024 shades are tempting and pretty but not sure I need them!

What Makeup Is Everyone Wearing in Bridgerton Season 3?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I realize Queen Charlotte’s carousel hairpiece with spinning swan glass sculptures is the talk of the ton at the moment but I just need to know what makeup everyone is wearing in Bridgerton Season 3 because they are all glowing! Well, looks like we aren’t getting a Pat Mcgrath x Bridgerton Season 3 Collection and I’m not completely convinced the ton is wearing the Kiko x Bridgerton Makeup Collection on their faces. So, what are they wearing? From Francesca’s gorgeous glowy blush to Pen’s beautiful peachy eye looks all of it just looks amazing but WHAT is it? Erika Ökvist is the wardrobe and makeup designer on set and what someone really needs to do is pick her brain for everything used on faces and eyes this season so we can shop the looks! We had heard in the past that they used all Pat Mcgrath Makeup on Set and that Miss Ökvist has Skin Fetish: Divine Blush and Divine Cream Blush: Legendary Glow Color Balm in her makeup bag. Apparently, her tip for blush and highlighter is, “Powder where you want the contouring and not where you want to highlight. If you make that matte, then the highlight that you put above it is going to stand out more,” she told Glamour in a recent article. But which shades is she using? I do believe the Bridgerton team is guilty of gatekeeping!

Until Lady Whistledown blows the whistle on the makeup used in Bridgerton Season 3 you can use a few of these products to get your glow on!

Are Beauty Brands Focusing More on Dupes Versus Innovation?

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Dupes have always been an interesting part of the makeup and beauty world. Everyone has always been on the lookout for a dupe of their favorite product. In most cases, people seek out these dupes for various reasons, but one of the more important factors lately is the quest to find a cheaper version of a luxury product. It’s a stormy market lately and prices have crept up in the beauty world and everywhere else. Gas, groceries, and your favorite lipgloss have increased prices. But before we focus on what drives beauty brands to create dupes we probably need to focus on some of the original reasons the makeup community loved them so much.

I think a few years ago we were pretty overwhelmed with brands releasing a lot of mega palettes. Tarte, Too Faced, and others were pushing giant palettes that all had us squealing in joy but even before the mega palettes we had MAC Cosmetics releasing a collection every few weeks, and rather than indulge in all these different eyeshadows, lipglosses, and lipsticks we all wanted to know, “Do we already have a shade like this in our collection already?” This for me, was where the need for dupes arose and super early bloggers like Karla Sugar were out there swatching up their arm so we could figure out if we had the shade already.

Later on, when mega palettes began hitting the scene we most definitely started seeing more and more of the same shades being pushed and dupes again, became a pretty important part of our world as we tried to find if the shades in those new hot palettes were ones we had from that other mega-hot palette that launched the week before.

I Will Absolutely Purchase Kosas Blush is Life Baked Dimensional + Brightening Blush

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I will purchase Kosas Blush is Life Baked Talc-Free Dimensional + Brightening Blush ($29). What is Kosas Blush is Life Baked Talc-Free Dimensional + Brightening Blush and why does it seem so familiar? The new Kosas Blush is Life Baked Dimensional + Brightening Blush is a baked blush that’s talc and cruelty-free, vegan, and infused with squalane and hyaluronic acid for smooth, beautiful blushing cheeks. This new formula has a radiant, skin-like finish with a clean formula that’s available in eight stunning shades. Why does it seem so familiar? Laura Geller fans know! This is very much a duplication of Laura’s best-selling, well-known, and popular Baked Blush-n-Brighten Blush which I was rabid for back in the day. I’m pretty sure I had every shade. The formula was one of the smoothest baked formulas I ever owned and is still a very fond favorite of mine. However, I did notice that back in 2016, the formula seemed to have changed a bit with the introduction of new shades like Peach Delight Blush-n-Brighten Baked Blush! I’m not sure if they’re even made in Italy anymore but I know in the early days this was one of the reasons I loved baked products so much! If you’re a long-time makeup fan or collector I’m sure you can go back 10 or more years ago and remember the incredible Laura Geller QVC Today’s Special Sets she used to do that included not only a baked blush but baked eyeshadows, face powder, and other beautiful makeup. Nowadays, Laura has moved on to national TV commercials. I’ve noticed her commercials pop up on channels like CBS, ABC, and NBC.

This an interesting take on a much-loved product and if you asked me a few months ago if Kosas was to do a blush what would it be like I’d never in a hundred years have guessed they’d do something baked but here we are. I’ll purchase this without a doubt as the colors are stunning and I love a good baked blush formula. Today you can get early access to the blushes on the sephora.com app and they should launch tomorrow at sephora.com and in stores soon after. As I said above there are eight shades to choose from and they are:

  • Blissed (warm peachy pink)
  • Hype warm (poppy pink)
  • Butterflies (cool baby pink)
  • Adrenaline (hot fuchsia)
  • Thrill (vibrant blood orange)
  • Dreamland (rosy bronze)
  • Swoon pinky (brown mauve)
  • Euphoria (cool pinky mauve)

I was going to wait and see if Kosas did a Memorial Sale but currently, they have a sort of sale going on with sets on their site and I doubt they’ll put these on sale so soon after release. This is why I purchased Blissed, Hyped, and Thrill from Sephora. They do have 10% off if you sign up for a newsletter at Kosas but eh, I just got them from Sephora! What do you think of these? Buying any?

Kosas Blush is Life Baked Dimensional + Brightening Blush are available now!
