Fine’ry The New Rouge Smells Like Baccarat Rouge 540 But…

4 stars out of 5

I think we need to sit down and review all the new Fine’ry Spring 2023 Perfumes. First up is the new Fine’ry The New Rouge that’s one of 7 new scents available now at Target in Eau de Parfum and Body Mist formulas. I haven’t been lucky enough to see any of these at my local stores so I ordered The New Rouge along with Pistachio Please at target.com. I was most curious about these two but now that I’m seeing what the fragrances are dupes for I want to try others as it appears we have a Phlur Missing Person and Glossier You dupe in this new Spring 2024 batch of scents.

As I guessed in an earlier post I did about these Fine’ry The New Rouge is indeed a Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe of sorts. I love BR540 but it’s so mainstream I’m sort of sick of smelling it everywhere I go. There are SO many dupes of it at this point I wouldn’t be too surprised if Maison Francis Kurkdjian isn’t taking a hit in sales on the original as who wants to spend $300+ when you can find an almost exact duplication of the scent for around $20-$40.

I do own the original and I’ve smelled a lot of dupes out there and some are incredible but Fine’ry The New Rouge isn’t the best dupe I’ve smelled.

CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Sticky Grip and Two Other New Primers for Spring 2024

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Sticky Grip, CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Plush Plump, and CoverGirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Velvet Blur and three brand new face primers launching this May for Spring 2024. But let’s be honest it’s the fact that Covergirl Sticky Grip sounds like a dupe for Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gripping Primer or E.L.F. Power Grip Primer. Officially, E.L.F. does hold the title of first ever drugstore brand to have a gripping primer but unofficially, Covergirl is a bit more drugstore mainstream if that makes sense which means they’ll lead the way for brands like Maybelline and Revlon to start releasing their own formulas (which I’m sure is on the horizon soon). They’re also in a pretty sweet spot as far as pricing and size goes as CoverGirl Sticky Grip TruBlend Skin Enhancer is the same 0.81 oz as E.L.F.’s version and will set you back $10.79 which is a smidge higher than E.L.F. at $10. So, not too big a price jump taking into consideration how super expensive drugstore makeup is lately. I think the world of Makeup Hydro Grip Gripping Primer but it does contain alcohol where as E.L.F.’s version does not! If Covergirl follows along the same path as E.L.F. that would be great! Not to mention some of Covergirl’s releases lately have been incredible like their new Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence and Yummy Gloss!

Let’s take a look at these three new Covergirl Primers.
