NYC Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Color Matte Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review but all opinions expressed are my own

NYC Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Color Matte

My childhood is ruined thanks to the Jem trailer but at least I have NYC Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Color Matte to look forward to.

When I heard on Reddit several hundred years ago that they were doing a Jem live action movie I proceeded to run around the room in circles of excitement. I spent my childhood (and yeah, much of my adulthood) watching and rewatching the Jem cartoon! I had the dolls (How freaking cool were the dolls? The could kick Barbie’s a$$! They were HUGE!), I had the Rock Backstager with Speaker (which I betrayed Jem with by using it with my Barbies), I had the Rockin’ Roadster (Love the commercial where Jem ditches Kimber for Rio! So much for sisters before misters!), and yes, I even had the Glitter ‘n Gold Roadster.

Imagine my dismay after watching the movie trailer. Where are the Misfits? Why is Molly Ringwald Jem’s mom, aunt, keeper!? Where’s Starlight House? Where’s the truly outrageous music?

Excuse me why I pacify myself with $1.99 budget friendly lipstick from NYC because I need at least one awesome item in my life after this hot mess!

MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion Review & Swatches

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion

MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion ($44) is a new lotion that recently launched in the MAC Charged Water Collection. Timecheck Lotion apparently utilizes the Charged Water technology and to blur lines and wrinkles while shrinking pores and providing long term moisture.

Honestly, it’s just a super great moisturizer worth checking out but don’t expect miracles.

Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur Review & Swatches

Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur2

Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur ($15) is a little pick me up for the girls and guys with dull, lackluster skin. I actually put off trying Beauty Shot Face Blur for a while now! Etude House released it a few months ago but I kept putting off trying it because in promo shots it looks like a glow-y luminous primer of sorts and I dislike any highlighting type primers with a passion as they make my fuller face look even more full.

But finally I did indulge and I’m glad I did as I’m developing as great a love for this as I have for Etude House Baby Choux Base!

Maybelline Volum’ Express the Colossal Chaotic Lash Review

I purchased this item and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post.

Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Chaotic Lash1

Maybelline Volum’ Express the Colossal Chaotic Lash Mascara is the newest formula to join the Maybelline Colossal Mascara family. The Colossal Chaotic Lash Mascara comes to us as part of Maybelline’s Summer 2015 Collection but will remain permanently available from my understanding.

Who approved the marketing ad on this mascara? It displays a model with spidery, clumpy lashes…eep! Not the look I go for when applying mascara but ummm ok maybe Maybelline wants to take a little “creative” liberties with the mascara marketing.

Maybelline the Colossal Chaotic Lash

I actually remember enjoy the original and first Maybelline Volum’ Express the Colossal Mascara but since that release there have been dozens of formulations and brush applicator changes that haven’t really caught my attention. I’m all about new and exciting products but the constant stream of “Miss Manga”, “the Colossal”, “Voluminous”, and other releases is not only confusing but so repetitive. As far as I’m concerned most times it’s just about a brush change and not so much a formula one.

Do we need another Colossal Mascara?

I say nay!
