As you may know, Bethenny Frankel is an unofficial makeup guru on Tiktok. I’ve been following her for a while now and at the start of her “makeup career” I found her very humble and funny. As time went on she became a touch annoying with her everything is a dupe for everything mentality. It drove me crazy when she would promote some product from Makeup Revolution being exactly the same thing as something from Charlotte Tilbury or Tom Ford. I’m anal about dupes and they enrage me for no good reason but I just hate the comparing apples to oranges mentality. That being said, I still follow her but she’s become increasingly annoying as time has gone by. I’m sincerely not hating on her she’s just a really weird dislike watch for me sometimes. She’s very misinformed about what she’s talking about. She’ll pick up stuff at the drugstore and promote it as something she never saw in her life before and how it is brand new and dude, it’s not. It’s been around forever and a day. But that isn’t new behavior as I see quite a few beauty Tiktokers do this and it’s sort of confusing to me because the audience completely goes along with it. Does no one know a newly released product from something that’s been on the market for a while?

But anyway, the thing with Bethenny is she wants to be a woman of the people but it can be hard achieving that as a millionaire. She proved that recently when she went to TJMaxx to gift “her friends” some used makeup.

The Benefit Cosmetics Holiday 2023 Gift Set Collection has arrived and it’s sadly uneventful but I really am thanking them for that. Money saved! Yay! I just can’t see myself wanting any of this! Even the new, limited edition Benefit All I Want Beauty Advent Calendar ($149) just fails to excite me. And the packaging on this…! It’s just such a snooze-fest. They kind of have that 1960’s Palm Springs vibe going on with the checkered packaging but it just does NOT appeal to me at all. Please bring back Benefit Kitten! We loved her! And Bathina! We loved her even more!

This year we’re getting a select of sets that include a few items. Possibly the newest pieces in the Holiday 2023 Collection would be the addition of the new Benefit Porecare Skincare. If you haven’t tried it yet and are curious about it getting some with the Benefit Holiday 2023 is your best bet to save money and get to try a few pieces from that skincare line.

Personally, not a single item jumps out as me as something I need. I wish they released some sort of blush vault. Wanderful World Blushes are awesome! A new, limited-edition shade for the Holidays would have been brilliant. One thing to keep in mind with Benefit Holiday Sets is there is bang for your buck!
